For years we lived in total ruin. Many beliefs always foreshadowed our judgment but we never listened. Divided we sought after power, wealth, eternity until we pushed our lands into debt and nearly extinguished all of our resources. The world that once hoped for peace through technical prosperity equally became one in poverty. Judgment was passed and the entire human race paid for our sins. No amount of money, power, or influence could save even the wealthiest from the world that became barren. Our elders had different beliefs that either the gods or the universe punished us for our collective sins. We were meant to work for world peace but instead created weapons to protect lines and names that don't mean a thing anymore. We used technology to connect the world and with it, we connected our daily lives, behaviors, and ideals. Archives show what our Elders would do and say. A library filled with endless photos, thoughts, entertainment, pleasure, hatred, self-loathing, and vile preachings. That only scratched the surface of what we uncovered. The Elders who are still around told their stories of what life was like before the world turned dark. Many say when their time comes they will go peacefully and become one with the universe. The darkest days they encountered were enough to not continue with life's newest chapter.
Azimuth: a twin city built from the ground up over the carcass of what this area used to be. When the world turned dark and flames rained upon the land many struggled to continue their journey in life. For years packs roamed from settlement to settlement hoping to grow but ended in hostility and death. Thirty years passed and a man now known as Tier gave the world hope even back then. The year was 2045 when the apocalypse began but to the surprise of many, it didn't come from divine judgment. Humanity brought it upon ourselves. We let others influence our decisions, we let our minds corrupt without a single thought, and for that, the nations we lived in caused a nuclear war. Those who served in faith waited to be saved but were left to suffer like all the rest. Born in the same year, Tier would grow up in a harsher and more unforgiving world than his family knew. He always recalled the day as a teenager where he barely escaped with his life. Marauders raided his settlement killing almost everyone he knew and his family. He wandered from area to area looking for a new place to call home but never did until one day crawling from the little strength he had left, he stopped to lay motionless from hunger and exhaustion. In what he thought to be his final moments, he saw a figure come to him. Only knowing of religion from those few who still practiced, he believed an envoy from the heavens was sent to save him. Was it merely an illusion his brain comforted him with on the brink of death? To this day no one truly knows but when he awoke he found himself alive and with the determination to rebuild civilization once again. He started with a home that soon became a workshop where he learned to do many things and the first was to farm. He crossbred foods to allow for quicker growth and longer sustainability. He dedicated all of his time to constructing new buildings around his home. Many who came through called him delusional but there were a few who remained that shared in his vision. They believed Tier to be the savior they had always hoped for. The ones that stayed helped build the foundation of Azimuth.
It took around twenty years for Tier and his followers to build Azimuth into a functioning city. Tier not only brought individuals into his life and new city but he provided what many settlements couldn't, a genuine home. Foods, supplies, medicines, clothes, and so much more were being produced, researched, and provided by Tier and his trusted companions. Many put their faith in Tier. He gave them Life. He provided them with everything they needed in exchange for whatever they could contribute to Azimuth. He matched one's ability to others and made sure they were paired to help keep the city alive. It was until a set of newcomers arrived with hopes of not only joining Azimuth but expanding it. Three brilliant individuals helped Tier in an area he couldn't manage to get off the ground, technology. These three helped him learn and understand. They were able to survive with gadgets they made out of past technology. They seemed to understand it better than anyone Tier had ever met. Old systems that were brought into Azimuth were torn apart and examined by them These three reconstructed and enhanced tenfold what our Elders achieved in their technological advances. These three along with Tier established the beginnings of Tier Technologies. The two brothers Pyre and Leon along with their lifelong friend Reena made up the three brilliant minds behind Tier Technologies. As they grew closer to Tier, so did Reena's heart for him which in turn made Pyre beyond jealous. Pyre had always had feelings for Reena since he could remember but in the year they grew up she only ever loved him as a brother. Pyre contained his jealousy while they worked but over time everyone was able to sense his hatred building up.
