Cup of Tea

Prologue

Mika was thinking about Frankie again.

Mika walked over to the window and reflected on his boring surroundings. He had always hated the calm streets of Sydney, with it's tense, tasteless trees. Mika was searching for something full of life, and Sydney was definitely not it. It was a place that encouraged his anti-social tendencies. The only good thing that came out of Sydney was Frankie.

Mika's view of the empty streets was suddenly interrupted by something, or rather someone.

It was Frankie. Mika gulped as he glanced at his own reflection. He was a lonely, defenseless, tea drinker with skinny arms and scrawny eyebrows. He was always jealous of Frankie's features. His prominent jaw line, his muscles that could rip any shirt that he put on, even his toned legs and abs. But a lonely person like Mika, was not prepared for what Frankie had in store today.

As Mika stepped outside and Frankie came closer, he could see the glint in his eyes that Mika had fallen in love with. Frankie was suddenly in front of him, and Mika's cheeks turned red. Frankie said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want to care for you." Mika's eyes widened and he looked down at his fingers. Nervousness filled his veins and his thoughts as he searched his brain for a reply. Mika had no confidence to say it back, so he thought of a lie and began to speak. "Wow," he replied. Mika's eyes then fixed onto Frankie and the two looked at each other with anxious feelings. Mika studied Frankie's muscular build, trying to pass the time. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Mika in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way. I just don't love you Frankie."

Frankie looked unstable, his emotions raw. Mika could actually hear Frankie's heart shatter into thousands of pieces as his eyes began to tear, which shattered Mika's lonely heart as well. Then, Frankie turned away and hurried into the distance.

Not even a cup of tea would calm Mika's nerves tonight.
