The Blood of a Wolf

Part 1. An omega is born

She cried in agony, the pain overwhelming her. The moon was full and shone down like an angel casting it's heavenly light upon the birth. The air was cool and the the breeze warm. She gave one final push. She gave all she had. The pup she had that night was me. I am Alex. I was born to the omega Lucas and his mate Marily. My mother had died after my birth. My father raised me by himself. Quickly I learned the ways of the wolf.

The brisk air brushes against my nose. My nose twitches and my eyes open. I stand and stretch my legs. The toned muscles stretch and warm to be ready for quick movements in the cold air. I shake and snow flies from my black and grey fur. I walk to the edge of our camp and relieve myself against a tree. I walk back to the center of our camp.
"Morning Alex" Mark, a beta, says to me. Even though I will take over my fathers position as omega mark still treats me with respect. Some people do. Some, however, do not.
"Morning Mark, sleep well?" I ask him.
"I slept alright. Still don't care for this blasted cold though."
I laugh "Yeah not sure if I'll ever get used to it. Hey I've got some work to do. I'll see you around."
"Take care"
I walk off and walk past Aubrey, the alpha's daughter, Joseph, Nick, and Sirine, three betas, and the actual alpha Leo. I walk off to go check on the pups to make sure none have run off. A growl is heard through the camp. This is followed by a yelp and a whine and then silence. I ran toward the sound. My paws pounding against the crystalline snow. As I ran I caught the scent of an unfamiliar wolf. Then I caught the smell of blood. The scent of the blood was familiar.
"No!" I roared and ran as hard as I could. The bleeding wolf was a wolf he had known all his life. He looked up to him. And now, he was in danger. The events that followed changed my life.
