The Demon Inside

I snap. A low growl escapes my throat. For a moment I see Nick's arrogance fade. I lunged toward him without thinking, intent on killing. However, he was ready. He lunged at me and we clashed midair. He was a fighter. We slammed into the ground. I was up first and I threw him back down when he tried to get up.

I looked down with fire in my eyes as I stood over him. I could have killed him already if I wanted to. I had proven my point. I turn to walk away. He lunged at me and bit down on my back left leg. I could feel the muscle being torn. I let out a roar and slashed back at him with my good back leg.

I turn to face him. He went for my face and I tried to dodge. He got my front leg now. I saw how this fight was going to go down.

"Like I said, you'll die worthless. Just. Like. Your. Mother" Nick sneered.

This is how he repaid my mercy. I let out a roar that would've made the dead roll over. I was on him before he knew what was happening. I slashed at his face and blood was pouring down. He slashed back and then sunk his teeth into my shoulder. I threw us both to the ground. I bit down on his leg and broke it. I snarl and continue to slash him until he stops resisting. My jaws are locked on his throat.

I hear a low whimper come from my prey. Nick's scared. He's knows I'm better and could kill him right now. Now he's begging for mercy.

"Please don't kill me..." He whines. Blood is covering his face and his fur is caked with blood. "Please"

I release him from my hold.
"I am omega. I am not to be trifled with. They say raise no more demons than you can put down. You raised one too many." I walk away from him.

As I walk away Aubrey runs up to me.
"Alex are you ok!?" She looks me over. "Alex... You're hurt..." She looks at me with sad worried eyes.
"I'm fine Aubrey. Just a flesh wound. It'll heal."

I turn and walk away before any emotion can take over me. Why did she act worried? Why would she care? As I walk to my den I feel a powerful presence behind me. I sniff the air and notice who it is. I turn and see the alpha Leo standing behind me.
