So, it was a aprils fools prank, right?
It at least it started that way.
A one day prank turned onto the longest game of gay chicken ever played.
They were in their second year in UA when this all started just to trick Denki. Def Bakugou's idea. But Kirishima went along with it, I mean, if your crush just ask you to fake dating them AND acting like a couple in front of other wouldn't you agree?
Well...
Almost at the end of their third year they started trying... other stuff... and... pretending... in private.
Yes... prETeNDinG!... That was it... PLaYinG prETeNd!
They moved together at the end of high school, they made the media think they were dating, they kept pretending in private... You know, the usual.
And then, the game of gay chicken ended.
Why, if they both secretly like each other, why end it?

But one day Kirishima decided to tell Bakugou 'I love you' for one last time.
Well...
Now they're married have 3 dogs, a cat and have adopted 2 kids.
I guess their joke went ok.
