Elena
I walked through the halls of the Resort, one of the most famous Resorts in our city. The same Resort I've grown familiar with every day for the past seventeen years. As I make my way to one of its outdoor restaurants, I see him, handsome as always.
I let my gaze trail all over him. He's wearing a button-up shirt with a black suit. I can see his muscles and the rest of his body just gently pushing on his clothes. He's always been built well, but not over the top. I take notice of his hair, it's slicked back and there's one strand that always seems to be shorter than the rest, resting on his forehead. Finally, I take in his beautiful emerald eyes, the same eyes that seem to be piercing my soul.
"You look absolutely beautiful."
His voice caused me to snap out of the daze I was in. I thank him as we both take our seats, and the waiter comes in to take our orders. We spend dinner just discussing how we've been and our lives. After we're done, he gets up from his seat leaving me confused."Dance?"
I nod, taking his hands into mine as we make our way to the dance floor. He spins me around as his broad hands wrap around my waist. His hands locked into mine as we started to dance. The colourful lights and slow music fit together like pieces in a puzzle. We sway from side to side, almost as if there were no one else in the room. Just me and him.
His eyes slowly lock onto mine and without knowing my body leans in closer to his. Our lips close enough to kiss. So close...
"Elena, I love y-"
–BANG!!!
I wake up to a loud noise accompanied by the sound of something falling. I try to open my eyes but fail miserably as the horrid sun pierces my eyes causing me to groan in pain. I slowly opened my eyes again to see my mother had opened the curtain blinds of my room.
"Time to wake up sweetheart, breakfast is ready."
She sounds as bubbly as usual. I've never really been a morning person and to be honest I never understood how people could wake up so early full of energy. I once again groan in pain from the sudden ray of sunlight burning my eyes, I turn to my side, flipping my covers over my head blocking the sunlight.
"Five more minutes."
I whine, wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep, but just as I am about to drift back to sleep, my covers get violently yanked off my bed, exposing my skin to the cold air. Immediately I get up to see my older brother, Damien, with an evil smirk plastered on his face.
"CHE DIAVOLO!" (what the hell!)
"Good morning snowflake." He says smiling like a complete maniac that only seemed to fuel even more my anger.
"TI ODIO!" (I hate you!)
I yell, grabbing my pillow and throwing it in his direction which he easily dodges. He leaves my room laughing hysterically, quite similar to a hyena. I hear him yell from down the hall "I love you too!" causing me to roll my eyes in response even though he couldn’t see me.
I get out of bed, and I pick up my covers and pillow lying on the floor and do my bed. I make my way to the bathroom and turn on the water to the shower to get it nice and warm before I get in. I take off my clothes and drop them in the hamper. Stepping in, the warm water cascades down my back. A small smile made its way to my face.
After a cool 3 minutes in the shower, I finally step out and dry myself off. I stand before my full-length mirror. My fingers delicately trace the edges of a black, long-sleeved shirt that hugged my figure. With a satisfied smile, I slide into the shirt, feeling its soft fabric against my skin. Next came the white and black plaid skirt, a playful addition to my outfit. I adjusted the waistband, ensuring it sat just right, and the flared hem brushed my mid-thigh.
