"roses have always been my favorite flower,"
"dark chocolate is probably my favorite,"
so she kept that in mind
the day has arrived, valentine's day, a fun day for couples, getting to express their love as if they don't already.
she hid the gifts for gakushu in her locker, red roses and his favorite dark chocolate.
she eagerly waited for the end of the school day so she could give her lover his gifts, she loved to see him smile and hopefully she can make him smile
the final bell rang, she rushed to her locker and looked for him. but she couldn't find him, not until she heard his voice
"i've told you this many times before, she doesn't need to know, she won't know,"
what?
"are you sure you're not going to tell her? you never cleared that up with me" a female voice said
there's no way
she stepped closer to the scene, they were visible by her, but they didn't notice her.
"i'm sure. plus, i don't actually love her, i haven't for a while" he smirked
"go on," the girl he was with batted her eyelashes
"you're much prettier than her, you kiss me better than she does, you're-"
that's it, she gripped the roses
"asano?"
"oh, y/n! i, i'm, well, uh," he stuttered
"don't even try to lie to me," her grip on the roses tightened, the thorns lightly stabbing her, enough to cause pain
'so that's why roses are your favorite flowers,' she thought
"i'm sorry,"
"no you're not," she whispered
"so, we're done?"
"you really needed to ask that? of course we are, dumbass," she spat her words at him and headed home
the "stranger" was right, how did he realize that? who is he?
