It was a cold winters day at Hogwarts for the students. They had all just returned to their common rooms before dinner was called for the evening. Sirius and James were coming in from quidditch practice along with Lily and Alice who had followed them from the library. It had been a great day for all of them. Especially with Remus being back from the hospital wing after a day in there. He had been resting in the common room all day while Lily brought him his work for the day. Since Mcgonagall wouldn't let him go to class with how weak he still was.
Sirius smiled as he saw his crush reading next to the fireplace. It was normal for Remus to do so. He went over to him and ruffled his hair. He didn't want to tell or give away his crush just yet. In time he would tell Remus but not anytime soon. He was just happy that Remus was okay after the full moon. " Hey Lily maybe you can help me study for tomorrow's test in potions class?" James asked hoping Lily would take up the offer. Lily sighed knowing it was another attempt to go on a date with her. Even though it wasn't. James really did need help with potions. He knew she was one of the best at it. So he thought she could help him. But by the looks of things it was gonna be a no. " No James. I'm studying with Severus and you can't join because you'll only make fun of him. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go shower and change before I go to meet with him." Lily said knowing James would do that. The marauders have done that since year one. And now being halfway through year two it was getting tiring for her.
James sighed as he sat down on the couch. " She's still playing hard to get right?" James asked wondering if that's what was going on. He knew it wasn't but he had hope it was. Sirius looked at him with a sad look on his face. He patted James's shoulder hoping it would cheer him up. " Don't worry about it mate. Maybe she'll notice someday. For now worry about the present with us." Sirius said hoping to take James's mind off Lily and Severus. He knew James liked her but he knew with Lily being close the Severus she wouldn't. Especially after all the bullying they've done to Snape. James smiled and looked at him. He knew Sirius was right. He just had to be patient. " I hope you're right. Anyway I'm going to go shower before dinner. You two have fun." James said before heading to their bathroom.
Once Remus and Sirius were alone they looked at each other then went back to what they were doing. Sirius grabbed the marauders map wanting to look at it to check on what his brother Regulus was doing at the moment. Remus continued reading his book enjoying the story it contained. But the bushing brown haired boy was getting bored of his book. He was feeling mischievous at the moment. He wanted to cause some trouble. Something that would just cause a disruption to everyone. Not something that would get him detention or anything like that. He was thinking of something when he noticed Sirius was staring at him from the couch. He knew the raven haired boy was only pretending to look at the map they made to spy on his brother. All just to stare at him. Remus wondered why. What was so special about him to Sirius. Sure he was a werewolf but that was the only secret he had. And he had told all of them before Christmas their second year of school. So that couldn't be it. Was there something on his face leftover from dinner? That couldn't be it either. He always remembered to wipe his face off after eating. He kept thinking about it as he looked back at Sirius.
He soon noticed however that Sirius had a bit of flush to his cheeks at that moment. Remus knew he couldn't be embarrassed. Sirius was always shameless. After all growing up in a pureblood family seems to have made it so Sirius would be a rebel. Remus didn't blame him. If he was raised under the same beliefs as Sirius was he would be the same way as him. It wasn't hot in the common room at all. They hadn't started the fire place yet. It was only mid afternoon so what was the point of doing that. It was also the beginning of spring so letting the cool air in was nice for all the Gryffindor students. Remus thought it was more than nice. He had always liked the cool breeze of spring. There was only one other thing it could be. Sirius had a crush on him. And that gave Remus an idea. Something he would never try on his own will if it wouldn't have been for a tease. He just wanted to see how far Sirius would go before he couldn't take it anymore.
Remus yawned as he closed his book holding his thumb on the page he was at. He was really feeling exhausted from the full moon earlier in the week. He wasn't going to deny that to his friends. He stretched his arms up his jumper coming up to show a bit of his stomach. Sirius watched as he stretched finding it tempting. His cheeks turning a bright red. He couldn't contain himself from swooning. Sirius fell off the couch not worrying about catching himself or getting hurt. Remus got worried as he watched this. He didn't want Sirius to hurt himself. After all he was just trying to tease him. It wasn't like he was being serious about it or anything right? Sirius spoke up after that. " Oh godric Moony...the things you do to me." Sirius exclaimed loving how Remus made him feel at times. He loved how the half wizard would tease him like this. It was mutual at times. It was just how they had been for a while now. Remus only smirked and rolled his eyes in response knowing that Sirius would be like that for a while now. They were both okay with that. It was a great night for them all. Sirius and Remus hoped it would last forever.
The End
