I left the park at 8:47 alone.
Silver never showed. My stomach twisted in knots the entire way home and I wished I had her number. I could have called and checked up like a good friend. It didn't matter the lecture I'd be given about having patience and waiting.
When I arrived home I came face to face with my teary eyed and pale-faced parents.
I don't know why but my body reacted before I'd even been given an explanation. My stomach dropped making me sick, and my eyes released the tears.
I didn't sleep that night.
