It was evening and Mikasa was with her mom helping her in cooking, "why are u so quiet today", asked her mom. "I don't know, it's been a lonely year". slicing the tomatoes she thought if she would ever be able to socialize with the current world situation. Her dad was sitting in the living room watching the news, "there has been a fiasco outside Georgia, people are getting mad and hurting each other just for the sake of food" said the news reporter. with a tense face, her dad replied, "it's a tough year for everyone Mikasa, see for yourself".
The year was of ominous silence where the people isolated themselves to survive the outbreak of deadly venom that could kill and spread instantly. Though after a while it was less deadly but the farmers faced the most, creating a wail for the outer world.
Mikasa was rather a quiet and fearless girl who was obedient to her parents but lenient to herself. At nights she use to sneak out of the house and go to the river and feel nature's whispers. She was a thrill-seeker, looking for something new. And she always carried a video camera with her so she could capture all her moments
It was already 9:30 pm, the family was done with their dinner and were making their beds after. Mikasa said good night to her parents and went to her room to read her book. After midnight when more than half of the world was asleep, she decided to step out and explore with her camera. While going towards the river she espied a small cabin. hundreds of thoughts pondered onto her mind like how did this cabin was here or who built it, but finally, Mikasa had something new to explore now. Wondering what might be inside the cabin she already found herself searching for clues in the mysterious hut. Its entry had a shutter that was already open, she thought someone might be in there. With a fearless attitude, she asked out loud if anyone is in there, but there was no one. She kept on wandering the cabin and suddenly heard the shutter closing, she ran towards the shutter but it was too late, it was already shut. Mikasa with all her efforts tried to pull up the shutter but it was of no use. she was now worried about escaping and yelled out for help but no one responded. She tried all other ways but found no escape.
