I hear the bell ring and run to the door to open it. Matt is sitting on the couch, waiting very nervously.
"Hi!" I say.
My mom hugs me. "I've missed you so much sweetie."
Then my brother who just walks in with a quick smile.
Then my dad. Not a smile. Not a word.
Uh oh. Now I don't even have a smile.
They all sit down on the couch that's opposite from Matt. I sit down next to met and we hold hands, very nervous.
My mom just sits there all smiley. My dad pissed. My brother just looks like he doesn't want to be here.
"Matt," my dad finally speaks. "Can I talk to you, privately?"
Matt nods and they both get up. Matt walks them up to our bedroom.
Narrator's Pov*
Her dad sits down on the bed while Matt paces back and forth, still very nervous.
"Please tell me you haven't taken her virginity yet?" the father asks.
Matt doesn't say anything.
Her father sighs and then says, "I had always liked you, Matt, as an actor and thought you seemed like a very nice and funny guy. But then you got a hold of my daughter and my daughter belongs to me. She's my little girl." The dad starts to tear up and Matt stops pacing and just stares at him in despair. Then the dad continues, "I didn't even want her to start driving because once you get in that car I don't know if she'll ever come back. Once they grow up, they can never be that small little girl that I would put on my shoulders at Disney World." A tear falls down his face and he quickly wipes it.
Matt sits down next to him and pats him on the back. "I care for her as much as you do. And I swear I will live my life to pro text her and keep your little girl safe. Me and you both love her, with all our hearts. Never wanting to lose what we love most."
"I'm gonna trust you, Matt. That you won't go breakin her heart or letting her get hurt."
"Never. Ever."
