Adventures of Four Friends and the Lost World

CHAPTER 2

Maya was walking towards the courtyard. She pushed the door to reveal a beautiful garden. She was carrying a guitar. She sat on the bench and opened her phone to see notes. She started playing the guitar with a beautiful melody and sang along with it. She heard a person clapping after she was done. And to her surprise, it was Josh, Angelina's twin brother.

"Hey, Josh!" Maya said switching her phone off and keeping it in her back pocket.

"Hey Maya... you sing well and I MUST add you also play guitar well."

"Oh thanks, Josh," said Maya.

"Well, can you teach me sometime?"

"Um... of course!" said Maya, feeling nervous now.

Suddenly 'treat you better' starts ringing on Maya's phone.

"Oh, um... it's Angie, I got to go, see ya," said Maya

"Ok then, see ya later," Josh said.

Maya got up and rushed to the bathroom. "Angie, are you okay? Angie! Where are you? Seriously, this better not be a prank," Maya said, banging the bathroom doors.

Suddenly, Maya heard growling noises from behind her. Maya took a deep breath and looked in the mirror to see a giant. He was snarling at her. Maya turned back and slid under its open legs. "ROAR!!" the giant shouted. She kicked its back. It groaned but there was something different about its voice, "Angie?" asked Maya.

"Did this scare you?" Angelina asked, surprised.

"Uh, yeah," Said, Maya.

"Really?"

"Yeah, how many times do I tell you?" asked Maya with a rising temper.

"Okay, okay," said Angie, thinking she crossed a line by accident.

"Why did you do this?" Asked Maya

"Oh I have signed up for the school play, I got selected as 'Shrek' so I was just practicing," said Angie, happily.

"Oh, that's nice," Maya said.

"Thanks," said Angelina, smiling.

The next morning Maya was in a rather nice mood:-

"Good morning girls! Come on chop-chop, I need you up and ready before...let's say 8 a.m," said Maya.

"No," they all groaned.

"I'm sorry you guys have gotta get up if you wanna finish your History project before class." said, Maya

"Ok, fine," agreed everybody.

Sometime later:-

"You guys need some color in your drawings. I'll go get the paints from the storeroom said Maya, wearing her sneakers.

Maya was walking to the closet while listening to music.

Suddenly, she bumped into the wall.

"You idiot! Watch where you're...... oh, it's the wall..." said Maya awkwardly.

"Hi Maya," said Josh out of nowhere.

Maya instantly ran back to her room in tears feeling embarrassed.

Back in the room:-

Maya was walking in a corridor. She turned around and heard whispers. She kept walking when she was teleported into a room and a cold voice said "DIE!" and stabbed her. Maya woke up. Her eyes were wide awake. Breathing deeply she looked around in the room and fell back on the pillow.

"It was a dream, PHEW !"
