(Y/n) POV
I was in Workshop as I was working on (B/n) as I was mixing technology with magic so that everytime (B/n) gets any of their parts torn off they are able to retract their missing parts like a sort of magnet per say to their body
As I was doing so I needed to test them out so I asked permission to go to the restroom
He agreed nonetheless as he was to induced in his book as I made (B/n) retract back to my arm brace and left to go to the restroom
As I left I ran into Mr.Cullen
"Oh, my bad sir"
"No actually I was planning on talking to you"
"Oh, about what?"
"Well apparently the Decathlon requires 10 contestants at minimum but were short by 2 people, and since your the next intelligent person, we were wondering if you would join?"
"Uh . . No offense sir but I'm really not the type to answer in pressure and my intelligence is limited due to my low self esteem" I responded truthfully as all the times I acted confident were purely for show
"(Y/n) it's fine if you don't want to be on the main rounds, all you have to do is be there at least, but I understand if you wouldn't want too" he stated
Damn now I feel bad, talk about not being pressured
"Uh sure why not" I responded
"Great it will take place on the 14th of this month, here's the details and Team Jacket" he said as he handed me the stuff
"Ok now I gotta go, you'll do great" he said as he left
Well I still have to test (B/n) so I'll do that first
I thought as I walked towards the directions of the restrooms to get met by Peter
"Oh hey (Y/n)"
"Hey Pete" I said as he looked at the stuff I had
"Wait is that the Midtown Decathlon Team Jacket?"
"Yeah apperantly there weren't enough team members to be entered in the Decathlon so I got voted in" I stated
"Dude that's awesome, I know you'll do great"
"At least your amused" I said huffily as I felt the (B/n) brace form start to jiggle as I deactivate their safety protocols for the spell to work
And if I dont turn on the safety, in the next 5 minutes my arm will literally be a mangled pile of flesh and bones
"Uh, (Y/n) your arm is trembling, are you okay I can take you to the nurse"
"I'm fine just need to use the restro- GAH!, Like Now" I said as I ran for it to the nearest restroom and heard Peter following me
As I entered I made (B/n) get off, as they transformed back to their Hawk mode
"Damn you really pierce my skin, dont ya buddy" I said softly as they chirped either apologizing or calling me a wuss
I switched a mini lever in their chest "And your safety Is back on" I murmured as I stroke their neck
"YOUR (H/N)?!?"
Oh right.. Peter followed me
"Suprise" I sarcastically said as I grabbed and peice of metal and hitted them causing me to fly back
I was waiting for an impact but instead felt a web pull me back and I stood up regaining my posture
"Thanks" I huffed and called (H/n) to transform back into an arm brace since the test was successful, and left the restroom and a confused Peter
