A second explosion had Silva sitting up. He heard stone falling, then someone screaming.
Were they being saved ?
Did the students find out about what happened ?
If so, how did they find them ?
The collision of metal brought him back to reality. The collapsing of stone pillars made Silva worry. If more of the building was destroyed, it could collapse completely, burying everyone inside. The fighting noises went on and on, until suddenly, everything was quiet.
And then it happened. The walls around Silva started cracking. The cracks went al across the room to the door. The ceiling suddenly came down, creating a huge cloud of dust which covered the room and made Silva cough and wrap his arms around his head to protect his eyes. When the rumbling stopped, Saul looked up to a huge hole in the wall where the metal has been standing just a few seconds ago. He heard quick steps from several people coming his way. "Headmaster Silva ?", "Miss Dowling ?" The voices belonged to Bloom and Riven, Silva could recognize these two out of a million voices. "We're here", he shouted, followed by his coughing. His throat was dry from the dust. The steps came closer. Silva tried to get up but trembled and fell back down immediately.
He tried again, as he suddenly felt a hand supporting him. He looked up, straight into the eyes of Riven. "Silva, are you okay ?" He asked his mentor. Silva nodded and coughed again. Behind Riven, Bloom and Ben appeared. Bloom had Farah's coat hung over her arms. Ben immediately rushed over and wanted to inspect Silva for injuries, but Silva shook his head and pointed his finger to where Farah was. The three looked over and gasped as they saw the headmistress lying on the bed, her hand tied above her head. Bloom was the first one to run through the opening that had appeared when the ceiling fell down and bent apart the iron bars, and lean over the headmistress. Ben arrived there short after and used his magic to remove the runic limiters from her wrists and free her. "Farah, wake up", he said, slightly shaking the fairy. "Is she okay, professor Harvey ?", Bloom asked with fear in her voice. Ben didn't answer. Instead, he carefully tapped her cheeks and called her name. Meanwhile, Silva and Riven had reached them. Silva kneeled down before her. "I can feel you", he said staggered and leaned his forehead against Farah's temple. "You're save now", Saul whispered. The fairy suddenly moved her head and groaned weakly. She slowly opened her eyes, and when she saw Silva, she immediately started crying. Her voice was weak from not using it, but Saul could clearly hear her calling his name. Farah tried to push herself up and Bloom rushed further to help her. "Miss Dowling, careful", she said, looking at Riven and Ben. The two understood and turned around, so that Bloom could help the headmistress sit up and put her coat on. "Okay", she said as she had finished. Farah gave her a weak smile and tried to stand, but immediately fell back down. "She's really weak", Silva said and went over to her. Without any problems, he proceeded to carry her. Now, that he could feel the bond between him and his fairy, he felt stronger than ever before.
All four of them went towards the exit. On their way, Silva was able to make out a lifeless body buried in the ruins of the building. A small tear left his eyes, although it didn't get much attention as it slowly went down his cheek and landed on Farrah's Coat. And that was the last time, Saul cried over his former friend and partner
