Well the absolutely nonsensical Friday has arrived. Think about how many days until I do something worth living for? Like being a Artist who everyone loves or an a author? But that's absolutely absurd! Who would think I would be a success? Today was ordinary, had breakfast then went to school, learned geography today. After school I went to my bed and listened to music. My sister called, which was surprising, all she had to say was a late Happy Easter. Nothing astonishing about her call.
Maybe tomorrow will be more "shocking"? I gave those tickets away to Becky and Faith, they'll enjoy themselves, I know it. Who wouldn't enjoy big silver swords? Have you ever watched Guardians of The Galaxy? I watched it with Ronan, he utterly loved Rocket. I've never read the comics, would love to now.
"Jan, Dear! Your friend stopped by!" Mother screamed. Hmmm, who could it be? I run down the stairs and jumped over Ronan's toys. I look up to see Natalie Abigail Letters talking to mother. Wow I haven't seen her since 6 years ago. She ever tall. Brunette with blue eyes, I always thought that was beautiful. She is beautiful.
"Hey Janet! Its been years!" Natalie says, knocking me out of my trance. "Yeah, its been six years, to be exact" I corrected. She walked over and gave me a hug, ugh how I hate hugs. I awkwardly patted her back. She let go and smiled, "guess who's staying over this weekend? Me!" She bubbled. Natalie's mother came through the door with packing bags. "Thank you again Janine." Chirped Bryce, Natalie's mother. My mother smiled and took the bags and gave them to me and Natalie. "Take these upstairs, would you?" Mother commanded. We took them upstairs and dropped them on the carpeted floor.
Natalie inspected the room, "clean, but dark" She began. "You need something light or neon" she added. As she looked at the posters of suoerheros, her face cringed, whipped around and spat "you got to be kidding me, a nerd? Of all things, you had to be a nerd?". I laughed "well I'm not you, am I?". She straighten her self and turned around again, looking through my comics and books. She picked up a book and said "wow, didn't know you read John Green?" "Well Paper Towns happens to be the best John Green book ever" I confessed. "No, Fault in Our Stars is the best" she argued, looking at a comic book. I sat on the bed and grabbed my water bottle, groaning because I drank all the water two hours ago.
"Whatever, by the way. Where's your mother going?" I asked, kicking my legs up on the chair while I laid down. Looking at my white ceiling, probably the brightest thing in the room. I have violet walls, a blue door and carpet. "Work, she is traveling to London or something" Natalie explained, still looking at the same comic.
"Where do you get all these comics? Captain Marvel? Punisher? Captain America? Harley Quinn?" She grumbled while flipping through a Harley Quinn comic. I stare at her, wondering whats going on her mind. "Sebastian" I answered, with grief. She looked up at me and squinted her eyes "what's wrong? Where is Sebastian?". I looked at her and smiled, I then take the comic out of her hands and place it back on the shelf.
She got up and waited for my next action. I walked past her and down the staircase, Natalie following closely behind. I stopped at the kitchen and grabbed some snacks then went outside, barefooted. I placed the food on the grass, then told Natalie to stay here. I ran inside to grab my iPod and speaker, them went outside again, closing the door behind me. "Let's have a snack and listen to music, shall we?" I announced, sitting down and went through the playlist. I picked Feeling Good by Nina Simone, already swaying to melodic voice. Natalie listened to the song for a bit then asked "can I pick the next song?". "Sure, go ahead." I replied. After the song ended Natalie took the iPod out my left hand and scrolled through my playlist. She squiled and picked a song, it was 21 Guns by Green Day. "Me and my Dad used to listen to this every day, it never got old" she told me.
We both listened and laid down, looking at the trees sway with the wind, my favorite days, the ones where its windy out and the trees rustle and sway and the dark rainy days. Those ones are also the best. Today was alright, Natalie is okay, she isn't perfect though.
