"Good day, sir." The butlers said in unison bowing in greeting. Marxius merely smiled and continued his walk towards the fairly-sizable arched door. The door opened to his father's smaller throne room. Yes, his father had two throne rooms. One was for smaller matters and the other for important events. Marxius hid his sneer when he kneeled on the ground in front of the throne his head bowed. Wincing as he put weight on the bruises on his legs Clenching his fist he waited for his father's declaration.

Above Marxius's black hair the king watched with a tired gaze at his third son. "Why." Marxius raised his head meeting his father's weary gaze. He merely made a small smile and repeated the question. "Why do you think?"

The king stood up looking down his heavy robes offsetting his delicate frame. "Then be prepared to deal with the consequences. You will be leaving to the Illois estate promptly." He gestured towards one of the officials watching on the sidelines.

Marxius grinned at the signal of his abandonment. He stood up and with a deep bow, "As you wish Your Majesty." He was escorted out of the throne room by the chosen officials with a small train of soldiers. He was lucky not to be in chains. Walking through the long ornate halls the sound of footsteps, the jingle of armor,  and heavy breathing echoed in the stifled silence. Leaving the palace, sunlight beamed on the plain wood carriage. Marxius practically leapt into the cooler carriage and froze. Second brother was perched on the wooden seat filing his nails. His eyes met his and the carriage door swung closed.

Marxius immediately got on his knees like the king but with his hands trembling. Second brother watched Marxius carefully before reaching out a head to stroke the hair of his younger brother. They were in close proximity to each other in the cramped space of the carriage. The stench of cedar choked the air bringing back traumas one by one. "Did you miss me while you were making trouble," sneered the young man yanking Marxius's head back by the hair to meet his gaze. Marxius refused to meet his gaze staring emptily at brother's shoulder.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a black band tied to a disk. Marxius eyes were fixed to the collar as his brother tied it around his neck with a smirk. "It was made specially for you brother don't you feel honored brother. Our dearest father was worried about those lips of yours. Couldn't have you spilling our secrets. I made a special addition to the enchantments as well. Everytime you attempt to write or speak things that should not be said concerning our matters it will feel like something is twisting your insides. Isn't that fun, brother!" Laughing his brother hopped from the carriage.

"Have safe travel brother. Serve the Illios family well." The door slammed the door behind his brother's back.
