The calm and cool breeze of the night raked through your hair, sending small shivers down your spine as you rubbed your hands together in need of small warmth. This night was quiet up on the wall, a good quiet of course. Nothing seemed to be wrong at all, besides the fact that since your squad was on an expedition with the other cadets, you had to stay up and keep watch for any impending danger. Certainly, you were the first to be singled out, because your squad-mate had 'volunteered' you. Alongside you had been Reiner, he was also made a tribute to the 'sucky' task of watching the walls. Of course, you'd known the big Blonde brute, ever since you both had became cadets that day along with Annie and Bertholdt you instantly became friends. In some ways, you and Reiner were the same- From your boisterous persona to your jokes, you both just clicked in that way.

Ever since just a few months ago... You were starting to feel... Different towards him. You couldn't pin the feeling down nor could you name it in a way. However, it did feel like insects were flapping around within you. It was strange. Hell, you were strange in more ways than one- And your friends seemed to like that either way. This wasn't new in any way shape or form.

You breathed in deeply as you looked out towards the expanse of the walls. This was the farthest you'd been from your home within the walls... You miss it dearly, you hadn't seen your home in ages. "Reiner.." You sigh his name in question. "Hm.." He grunts, glancing over at your sitting form beside him, resting his arms on his bent knees. "Do you ever.. Miss your home?" The question was solemn, and quiet in case your words were to wake anyone sleeping a few yards away from you two.
"Sometimes." He replies as he glances back out into the night sky. "You?" Reiner asks. You smile to yourself as you looked down at your hands. "Matter of fact.. I'm missing it right now."

"Pfft.. Don't miss it too hard, I'm sure everything's fine there." He'd chuckle, removing an arm from its rested position to pat your shoulder before his hand lingered upon it. "You'll be able to go back soon... Wouldn't doubt it." Reiner says before he leans back to lay upon the ground of the wall, letting both of his arms act as a pillow as he stared upon the clear sky. "Hmph... You sure do talk a lot of smack for someone who doesn't talk about his home, Braun." You sneered as you jabbed at his stomach with your finger, earning a flinch of pain from him. "Always acting like it's some top-notch secret junk... Whatever, I won't press you on it." You grumbled as you glanced down at him. Your words did in turn earn a feeling of relief from Reiner in the slightest.
