"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love."- Jane Austen

"I can take her, I want to drive around anyways." I don't know why I just said that. Can't take it back now. I wish I could , her reaction wasn't exactly what I wanted but it was expected.
"Okay then, i will be back later"
"Got everything" all she did was look at me, she could at least respond
"Look i'm sorry, If I could take it back I would can you just forgive me already it's been years soph"
"Only my friends can call me soph, you are not my friend just take me home" she brushes past me and once again i'm left with this terrible feeling.
I hop in the car and turn on the radio "Love Grows" by Edison Lighthouse plays and she immediately looks at the station
"Do you want me to change it?" no response, turning it up seemed like the best way to go right now at least it won't be quiet
The rest of the ride home was awkward. She didn't say anything or even look my way. It felt like forever until I pulled up to her parents house.
"Do you need some-" she slams the door "help" i'm tired of this we need to talk
"Sophia stop for a second" she pauses but doesn't look at me
"I swear to you what you are thinking about the situation is far from what actually happened"
"How else do you explain you disappearing that night?" i can see tears forming in her ocean blue eyes, everytime she is upset her bottom lip twitches...great now i'm thinking about her lips
"Let me explain" she has never let me explain she just avoided me for years
"No I don't need your explanation okay just leave me alone I came back for my dad not you"
Ouch. God I want to kiss her so badly right now, she is so hot when she's mad. Now's not the time though all I can do right now is let her sleep on it.
"Fine i'll talk to you later" I jump back in my car and try to start it.
What the fuck? It's never done this before. My car keeps stalling "work you piece of shit" to my surprise yelling at it did nothing
It occurred to me that Sophia is inside and I could ask to stay for the night but I know she won't let me in especially since she can barely look at me.
Eh whatever its worth a shot.
Knock Knock Knock
"That better not be you Bryan"
"I hope that's not how you usually answer the door"
She opens up the door "why are you still here? I already said I don't want to talk"
"That's not why I'm still here, my car won't start" she rolls her eyes. Does she not believe me?
"Is that the best you could come up with? Call one of your girlfriends or something"
"Girlfriends? Nevermind just let me stay the night, everyone I know is probably going to sleep. I'll be out here in the morning" she looks around then back at me a hint of excitement on her face.
"No, nice try though"
"I mean I could just call your mom and ask to stay over" I can play this game
"Whatever come in but don't try anything either playboy" this is going to be interesting.
