Just A Game
The snowflakes fall to the ground,
Devouring the once green grass.
She was so young,
Her window opened,
Just one snowflake,
Just one.
Her arm reached out,
Trembling from the freezing breeze,
But it’s just a game,
Just a game.
Drifting further away,
The little piece of ice flowing into the distance,
Away it goes.
Her feet on the roof,
Hypnotized,
Then the roof disappears,
Everything is white.
She lets out a single scream,
Then everything goes black.
Her body lying lifeless,
On the blanket of snow.
The sirens roar in the distance,
But it’s too late.
Snowflakes fall and rest on her body,
Paying their respects,
Maybe it was out of sympathy,
The cold blanket they made for her,
But not likely,
After all,
It’s just a game,
That’s all it ever was,
And she lost.
