Beidou was patiently waiting for one of her crewmen to got on the ship with a package of resources she needed for the journey she was going on. She had been planning to go to visit Mondstat for a while now, one of her friends were there and that friend had fell ill with a very dangerous disease, there was absolutely no cure for this disease so there was no chance of survival. Beidou wanted to see her childhood friend for one last time.

Once the man had arrived she took it to her office on the ship, moment later the ship started sailing to Mondstat. It would take 19 hours at most. She wanted it to be quicker but thats as fast as she could get there. A few hours had already passed, she was getting tired so she asked one of her friends on board to steer the ship while she went to takea short nap. The woman agreed and told Beidou to get rest. Beidou walked into her office where she had a small bed in one corner, she lay down and thought about her friend, and wondered of she would make it in time. She started to quietly sob into her pillow, that's when she fell asleep.

♡♡Small time skip♡♡

It was now morning, Beidou woke up to the smell of bacon and toast. She was sure her crew had made breakfast so she decided to finally get out of bed and go eat something. When she got to where everyone was, one of the men noticed her eyeliner and mascara had stained her cheeks, so he knew she had been crying and asked if she was alright "Y-yea im fine.. just thinking about her and wondering if we will make it in time.." Beidou said. The man pulled her into a hug and said they only had 2 hours until they got there. She smiled and sat down to eat. Once she was done she went to write a letter for her friends back in Liyue. In this letter she stated that she would be in Mondstat soon and how she was happy she can see her friend one more time.

2 hours had passed, Beidou was the first off the ship. She ran and ran as fast as she could to visit her friend. She got to the house she was in and knocked...no answer...surely her friend would've answered, right? She knocked again and still no answer. She got worried and looked into the window to see her friend laying on the floor. Maybe she just fell asleep down there? No. Never. She hated that. Beidou got so worried she knocked down the door to see if her friend was alright. She knelt down next to her body, Beidou tried shaking her awake but there was no response. She then had an idea to pick her up and lay her on the couch only to realize that it was too late.
