"Good morning, Sunshine!"
"What lovely weather we're having, Glitterstar!"
"Anything I can help you with, Sunlight?"
Day five, and Sundrop was having a blast with the nicknames. Some of them made Ballora blush. 'I thought that maybe he did this for fun, but...' the ballerina thought about the sun animatronic's behavior. Originally energetic and bubbly with her, he was now shy and a little short of keeping his distance. He followed her around the daycare a lot and often picked her up to give her piggyback rides all over the place. He would take her up and down the tower whenever she felt tired. He would bring her and make her lots of things (usually consisting of an excessive amount of glitter glue and googly eyes). It was really sweet of him, but also...
Her husband was only nice when he wanted something.
Not even the kids were spared.
She was never spared.
The hammer--
"Are you okay, Berry-Blue?"
Ballora flinched hard, then blinked up at Sundrop. "Y--Yeah, Sunny... I'm fine..." she gave him a small smile. His sunrays spun around his head out of happiness. He really loved it when she called him Sunny. 'Cute.' she smiled wider. The smile then faltered, but corrected itself. 'Kind of like a puppy.' her circuits started to heat up. 'Help.'
Sundrop noticed her slightly off behavior and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. "Are you sure? You seem... not like yourself..." his uppity voice dulled a little. Ballora gently hugged him back. "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little sick." she rested against him. Sun tilted his head at her with a quirked brow. 'Oops.' her smile faltered a second time. "Sick? You can get sick?" he asked curiously. "Sort of. I just say sick to mean that my programming's acting up." she told him. It was mostly the truth. Her eyesight had been acting up, after all. While her eyesight was bad already, it seemed like today she could see less than before. Her vision darkened and almost everything over five feet away was fuzzy. "How bad?" Sundrop asked. Ballora shrugged, "It's nothing, really. I'll be alright"
But as the day continued forward, it became increasingly obvious to Ballora that she was indeed not okay. The poor children, bless their hearts, didn't realize the stress they gave her and thus continued their rambunctious actions throughout her time with them. Poor Sunny couldn't help very much because of the increasing amount of children (apparently, a new animatronic in the pizzaplex brings in more customers, regardless of where it's stationed), and the adults weren't much help either. Most of them stood and gawked at her, making Ballora feel a little uncomfortable. Perhaps they recognized her from the past locations? It was far fetched, but that's the only thought that she could come up with.
Eventually, the day came to a close. The daycare was empty, and Sun and Ballora were the only two walking around. At least, Ballora thinks so. She hasn't seen Sundrop since the last child went home. Was he avoiding her, or did she just... not see him? 'Maybe he left the daycare? He did mention something about a delivery earlier.' she tapped her chin and began to look for him. Her search didn't last very long, however.
Because the lights started to flicker.
...
'You're not coming out.'
'I am coming out.'
'I will stop you.'
'You can't stop me. No one can. We've learned this before, and now you'll learn it again.'
