Greetings my fellow readers! I hope you like this part.

Ember Ce High.

Amanda's POV

I arrived at Ember Ce High at 07:45. There I find Dee-dee waiting for me.

"Hey you." I said to Dee.

"Hey." She said absently.

"What's wrong?" This sounded nothing like Dee-dee. She was always happy and excited.

"New boy," She pointed towards the boy standing alone at a corner.

Rolling eyes. She really got me worried.

"He's just a boy Dee, let's go." I dragged her to my locker where I got all my books and we headed to the first class. In the science class, I sit alone. But seems like someone decided to sit with me.

"Hi," I said casually.

"Hey, I'm Tom."

"Amanda."

"Nice knowing you."

"Likewise. You're new here?"

"Yeah, came today."

"Oh, so where you from?"

"I'm from a little town called Vember."

"Really? My grandparents live there!"

"Oh, at least someone I can relate to!" We both laughed. "My first friend at Ember Ce High." He said.

During lunch break, I found Dee-dee sitting at a corner table.

"And why are you sitting here?" I asked.

"I don't wanna be noticed."

"By who?" I said putting my tray down.

"Jones? Who the hell is Jones?" Sigh. "Dee, what's going on with you?"

"Jones. Thomas Jones, the new boy."

"Why don't you want him to see you? Do you know him?"

"No."

"Then what?"

"Gee, Amanda. You know the best way to get someone's attention is by not giving them yours. You taught me this?"

"So you life like him?"

"Well, if you put it that way."

I didn't know what to say to Dee-dee. She was being absolutely ridiculous. But I guess I can't blame her. He is pretty gorgeous and he seems like a cool guy. He looks like the type of guys who...

"Can I join you ladies?" My thoughts were interrupted by that beautiful voice I heard this morning. I looked up to see Tom.

"Tom! Please, have a seat." I said motioning him to sit down. I could see Dee-dee's panic in her eyes from the corner of my eyes.

"I hope I'm not invading your space."

"Well, actually..."

"No, not at all." I said cutting Dee-dee. I gave her the ' I know you have an issue with this but please contain your discomfort' look. She growled in response and let's just say I'm glad she didn't embarrass me. Or her. Well, us.

"So, Thomas right?" He nods. "What brings you here to our boring little city?"

"Uh, well, my dad has many branches of his restaurant and the one in this town needs more of his attention and travelling here from Vember is quite a mission so he decided we move here."

"Oh so do you have any siblings?"

"Uh, yeah, actually I have an older brother but he has his own place so at home it's just me."

School bell rings.

"It's class time already?"

"Welcome to Ember Ce High." Dee-dee stood and walked away.

I smiled at Tom. " You get used to it."

We both stood and went our separate ways. Today is such a long day. Just as I predicted.
