thing he could think about during the beginning of thedrive. He was going to a new school, where he knew nobody. He's always been awkward with new people, but this time he won't be, he's promised himself 1 week ago when he first knew, and he still does. He'll go to an all boys school.
He already told himself, 'those are only people. Just like you. They won't bite you, they won't hurt you. You can do it, Taehyung.' Taehyung took a deep breath, he was going through it, he couldn't stop now, when he's already on his way. Taehyun took out a piece of paper from his jeans' pocket.
"You're better than what you think" Was written on the paper. His grandmother wrote it to him one day before she died. He couldn't help but smile, and a little tear rolled down his cheek. He's missed his grandmother. She understood him the best, as if someone except her understood him. Neither of his family members understood him, they've always shouthed at him things such as "stop being awkward", "you're just acting shy, you just don't want to do anything" and more. They did not understand him. They did not understand anything. His only hope is now dead.
So he moved. He moved to a new school where he'll meet his new family and will make new friends. Where he'll have a chance to show a new, fresh Taehyun. But he won't go by the name Taehyung, because, well, he took the idea of a new appearance, maybe, too far. But he was okay with that.
He was mainly thinking about his grandmother, blurry thoughts popping into his mind. He loved her more than his parents. Sometimes he even wondered, were they his real paresnts? It didn't seem like that, they treated his as if he were their dog. Actually, they'd even treat a dog better.
Taehyung wasn't stupid, he knew when somebody didn't want nor love him. He could clearly see that. Even a 3 years old would notice. But Taehyung, Taehyung didn't really care anymore. "New life." He spoke out quitem, hoping that no one heard him.
The bus finally stopped at the school's own station. Taehyun jumped off his seat, dragging his suitcase with him. "I'm here." he whispered to himself, a smile appearing on his face. That cute smile he's always denied he had. He actually felt happiness. 'Do it.' He heard his grandmother's voice in his mind.
He was ready. Kim Taehyung, no, V. V is ready.
Taehyung got out of the bus, following the students. He wasn't sure where he should go, so he just followed. All student took a seat in front of a small stage, and so Taehyung. He let out a sigh, drives were tiring for him.
"Hello, first years." The man who stood on the stage spoke out to the mic. "Hello." The student replied straight. "Welcome to our school. Soon enough we'll give you the keys to your shared rooms. Each of you will share a room with one student, he mighe a first year or a second year. The rules are written down in the papers you all will get in a few minutes, and so your schedule, map, mealtimes, etc. Any questions?" There was silence until a student stook up and spoke. "Will we be able to go outside whenever we want?" He asked and got a "no" as an answer. The said student nodded and sat back. "Any othet questions? Anything? Feel free." No one dared to ask. "Okay. Now wait until I call your name, once I call your name, come over to me and take you paper."
The man finished and lest the stage, taking a seat near the stage and calling out students. The students stood up and chatted with their friends as they waited to their names to be called. Taehyun had no one to talk to, so it felt like ages. He hated to wait, he just wanted to go to his room and sleep.
"Kim V" Taehyng finally heard his "name". He walked toward the man and took the paper. Firstly, he read his room number.
'Good.' He thought, His room was on the first floor, and he didn't like heights, so that was good.
