Twice In A Year
The ground is bare,
Your life to spare,
With wings you fly,
Up, after you die.
Into the sky,
Forgiven for every lie,
Your body will rest,
While your soul is blessed.
Soon, the rhythm fades,
After being cut with blades,
Long after the hurt,
All we see is dirt.
Ambriel
Her eyes were violet,
And her hair was black.
Her smile was satin,
And her clothes were ripped.
She spent days painting,
And other days writing.
You could see it in her work,
That she was pain riddled,
But her smile was satin.
Her music played slow and smooth,
Depressing and lost.
Like the way people saw her.
She'd sit with strangers at lunch,
To look like she fit in.
But she never really did.
Freckles, scattered upon her face,
But her smile had been satin.
We watched her slowly sink,
Very few stood by her,
For which them it was the hardest,
To hear about the way she slipped.
I forgot to tell you that I miss you.
Maybe we all did.
Watching you leave school was hard,
Listening to the story was harder.
You were one of a kind,
And we fought together.
I miss you and your satin smile.
Ambriel Pt.2
Ambriel, why did you go?
Why didn't you let your emotions show?
The rope wasn't the only way out,
You could've let out a scream, a shout.
Ambriel, with a heart so pure,
Why you were pained, I'm unsure.
With a smile so bright,
I'm sorry you had to fight.
Ambriel, why couldn't you talk?
You could've written it out in chalk.
The pain had you in tears,
And your only option was to escape your fears.
Ambriel, I'll miss you forever,
