"Samantha darling, come down for breakfast", Samantha's dad called from downstairs.

"chill dad. Be there in a sec".

Giving herself a last minuite check on the mirror she was sure she looked okay. She fixed her hair in a loose bun and threw in washed out jeans and a crop sweater. Ready to go, ready for first day in school, ready for new experiences in a new small town.

Im not ready. Her inner self groaned. "you have to be, you're Samantha Miller. The one and only girl who is able to do anything if she sets her mind to it even if it means new things like school".

"Glad you are also the only child that talks to the mirror", startled she looked up.

"Dad what the fu- I mean furry old cat", nice save, idiot.

"I don't know about you but talking to the mirror won't get you to school, now come down. And this will be the last time I say it to you".

She followed her dad downstairs in a comfortable silence. As she took her last step down she was swept away by the sweet smell of bacon and waffles. Her mouth watered even more as she entered the kitchen. There they were a beautiful plate full of what she called her babies. Without any warnings she started attacking the poor breakfast as if it was the end of the world.

Slow down girl. You're seriously making me reconsider if you are a girl or a wolf.

Ignoring my inner self I continue endevouring every bit of it and it tastes like little stars melting in your mouth.

"Good morning to you too sweetheart", her mom hugged her. "glad you are making the most of it"

she chuckled.

My mom is a beautiful yet still young looking woman. She is always there for me and my dad also she is extraordinary in the kitchen, sometimes it makes me wonder if I am really her daughter.

***************

My dad drops me in my new school and honestly pangs of anxiety start making their way in me. I have to start all over again. Making new friends, if the friends will like you or not. I am not mentally ready for this. I start finding my way to the office when a petite girl comes up to me from nowhere and greets me.

"Hi, I am June".

"okay...and?"

"you seem lost, so I was thinking maybe you...uhm..need help?"

"yeah okay". confused I started followng her.

June started talking about things I dont know and blabbering about stuff Ive neve heard of. I was glad to finally get there.

Once I got registered, I was to start with Maths. yaaay. I couldnt believe my fucked up luck June was there. Waving at me she mouthed me to go to her.

"I saved you a seat". she saved me a seat. what is this. does she think we are in the movies?

The rest of the went pretty okay. It was boring but I survived.

I was waiting for my dad to pick me up-I really need to get a car-when someone passed me and almost made me lose my balance.

"hey,watch where you're go-"

He turned around and I think my heart skipped five beats. Those gray eyes pierced my hazel ones.

"sure, I'll try next time"
