Chapter 2 - Flying With My Friends

"Hey Gon." I started. Gon looked at me. "Do you have anything to do?" I asked and he shook his head. "No, I don't." "You should come hangout with my friends and I." I suggested, looking at him.

(End of recap) (Killua's pov)

Gon looks at me and smiles. "I'd love to!" He answers as we walk out of the library. "Alright, let's go then." I said, preparing to fly off when I feel a hand pull on my shirt. "Killua, I can't fly." I heard Gon say. 'He can't? But he's a fairy too-' That's when I finally notice his wings. It looks like they were cut off. My feet touch the ground again as I look at his wings. "What happened?" I asked, confused. "When I was younger, I wandered out of the village and ended up getting caught by a Hunter. I had to cut off my wings to escape." Gon spoke, sighing. "That sucks." I replied then suddenly got an idea. Here, I'll carry you there." I said, picking him up bridal style. He wrapped his arms around my neck, and I blushed. 'He's too adorable.' My feet lifted off the ground as I flew up and to our destination. 

(Gon's pov)

As Killua flew I looked around. It has been a long time since I was this high up. I looked around, smiling. I noticed how different fairies rushed all over the place doing different jobs. 'I wish I could fly too...' I thought. The sudden rush of air pushed my hair in my face, but I pushed it out of my face, giggling. I felt Killua's cold arms holding me but for some reason it felt warm to me. I shoved my face in his neck. Something, I couldn't tell what, but something felt right here. 'I don't know what this feeling I'm getting is, but I want to know.' I thought as I watched his icy wings flutter, flying through the air. 

(Killua's pov)

I felt Gon put his face in my neck, and I can feel his breathe. My cheeks turn even more pink. 'C'mon Killua, get a hold of yourself.' I thought, calming down. We land on the ground in front of a mushroom shaped house just outside the village. I carefully put Gon down as he removes his arms and face from my neck. "This is my friend Kurapika's house. He's also a fairy but his boyfriend is a human so don't be freaked out. Most humans are only magicless jerks but this one is different. Okay?" I told Gon since I could tell the moment I mentioned the word human he started shaking. 'I can tell he's the kind of trusting fairy who normally wouldn't care about what they were but something like what happened to him really broke his trust. I can't believe a human would do this to him... if they ever come back, I'll protect him.' I thought than mentally smacked myself. 'Why am I so protective?! We just met yesterday!' Gon grabbed my arm and looked at me. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes I am." I replied, walking him up to door. 

I knocked and the door opened, the blondie fairy called Kurapika appeared. "Who's this?" Kurapika asked, looking at Gon. "This is Gon, a music and nature fairy, he's a friend on the way here." When I say friend, I notice Gon smile. Kurapika grins. "I'm Kurapika, a summer and magic fairy and this is my boyfriend Leorio, he's human." He says, pointing to Leorio who's too big to fit in the house. I notice Gon hold on to my arm tighter. I give him a reassuring smile and he looks to calm down. "Hi Kurapika and Leorio." Gon said, giving a small smile. Kurapika looks at Leorio and hands him a small potion. Leorio drinks it and becomes a smaller human, our size, his clothes shrinking with him. "So, where do you guys want to go?" I asked as Gon gasped in shock at how much Leorio shrunk. "A small restaurant that just opened, I've heard their cook is really good." Kurapika suggested. "I love cafes!" Gon shouted and we all agreed. 

I picked Gon up and Kurapika picked up Leorio, we all flew to the cafe. Arriving I put Gon down on the ground and Kurapika put Leorio down and we all walked in. A waitress flew over. "Table for four?" She asked and we all nodded. I sat down with Gon on my left, Leorio across from him and Kurapika across from me. "What would like to order?" The waitress asked as we looked through the menu. "Mint jelly please!" Gon said and the waitress wrote it down. "Chicken-mushroom skewer." Leorio adds. "A honey cake." I spoke and last Kurapika. "Honey and milk." "Okay, your order will be here soon!" The waitress said, walking away.

We all waited for our orders while chatting about different things. During the whole conversation I couldn't help but move a bit closer to Gon slowly. The food arrived after a bit and then the waitress left. "This is really good!" Gon said, eating the jelly. I ate a bit of my honey cake and Gon looked at me. "Hey Killua, can I try some?" He asked, an excited grin. "... Sure." I replied and he stole the bite of cake I was about to have before he asked me. "Hey! That was mine!" I say and the... Cute... green boy just giggles. "You Baka!" I finished, blushing. I heard a giggle from across the table as I looked over to see Kurapika smirking at me. I gave him the, shut up, look back and he looked like he was about to laugh.

I then looked over at Gon to see him quickly turn away. 'I wonder what he was staring at...' I thought, continuing to eat my honey cake.
