"UUGGHHHHH. I'M SOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOREDDDDDDDD!" I said, waiting for my friends to get ready. "Hey, give us some time, we don't do this every night like SOME WIERDOS," a girl with purple hair called back. That was Rosey. She wore a purple hoodie with eyes on the top. Just like the rest of us, she wasn't human. I probably didn't mention this, but yeah. We're not human. We're a bunch of misfits, not fitting in anywhere. We lived together in the middle of a forest, but we just tried to maintain some sense of normality. That was a little bit difficult for us because any of our "normal" applications were supplied by magic. Electricity, water, even Wi-fi was magic, but we had REALLY strong signal. Anyway, after the rest were ready, we set out. "So, where are we going again Free?" asked the girl with half-dark brown, half-light blue hair. That was my step-sister Twilight. She was wearing a light blue hoodie with the image of wings on the back and white-and-black at the wrists. "We're going to be more normal than normal." I said. Free was my nickname. My real name is pretty hard to pronounce, because I wasn't from anywhere. I had no name, hence my nickname Free. I was dressed in a green hoodie with brown leather bands at the waist and wrists. I wore one glove on my left hand with three triangles on the back, the one on the bottom left colored in green. "So then, normal for normal? Or normal for us?" asked the girl with red eyes. That was Nicole. Everyone called her Magical because that's what she was: magical. Like I said, not human. Her hoodie was all red, with a white lattice pattern across the whole thing, and fire along the back. "Of course normal for normal. We can't be normal for us in public," said a boy with glasses and short, brown hair. That was Alex. His hoodie was black, with a skull and crosbones on the back, except a paintbrush and a lightning bolt instead of bones. "No," I said. "We're going to have fun!" Everyone looked a little nervous and exchanged some glances. I have a wierd idea of fun, and that was well known. I would either be studying or hunting, and little in between except for video games. "Okay," said a boy with short blonde har. "Whose idea of fun?" That was John, but we all called him Seven. We're not entirely sure, why, but that's what he told us to call him. He had a gold hoodie with designs that looked like exposed wires and circuitry, with electricity running between them, two small ears at the top, and a coil of wire at each wrist. "Don't worry, I have something planned. I promise you'll like it, " I said, We made our way out of the fores wih some difficulty. We live in the very center, in a tree called the Dimension Tree. It's in the middle of the Twilight Forest. This is where we found my step-sister, hence her nickname. Again, we found her without a name as well. The problem with the forest and getting in and out is the fact that it in itself is a separate dimension. The only way in and out is through a portal which can only be found by those who know where it is. Well, we know where it is, so we can find it, but it keeps moving. It's easier to get in than out, because the portal always shifts around the edge of the forest. Try using that as a reason for being late to class, and you get sent to the psychiatrist. Believe me, I tried. Anyway, we made our way out of the forest, and into the main town. I led the group, as usual, with my step-sister. But this time, I didn't even tell her where we were going, so she walked a few steps behind me, and evreyone else a few steps behind her. I just smiled as I walked. No one else expected what I had planned. Well, almost no one. Alex was kind of psychic, so he had a little bit of an idea, but I've been building up a way to keep him out of my head, and it's been working. We finally got there. We turned a corner, and I stopped dead, just to be a jerk, and made everyone else run into me. "AWWW COME ON FREE!!" Twilight yelled at me. "Ha! Sorry, couldn't help myself," I said. Everyone else looked annoyed, until Seven finally looked up behind me. "WOAH," he said. That's when everyone else noticed the giant industrial building sturctured behind me. "WOAH," said everyone else. John had a 'I-just-said-that' look in his eye, which made me laugh. "WELCOME," I said, like an announcer. "TO THE ULTIMATE INTERPERSONAL COMBAT EXPERIENCE, DEVELOPED BY ME, SPECIFICALLY FOR US!" Everyone slowly realized what I was talking about, and smiles stretched across their faces. "Okay, you were right," John said. "This will be fun." "So, this is what you've been doing every night?" said Twilight. "How did you even get the money and resources?" "Well, you know I like to hunt, so I've been selling everything I catch to a good friend of mine, his name is Olaf and he's a viking, but that's beside the point. LOOK AT THIS!!!" I said. The building was a basic concrete stucture, 30 stories high, in the middle of town. How? That's because I had a magic barrier around the building. Although it seemed like it was the center of town, it was actually inside a separate pocket dimension. 'Well, what are you waiting for?" I said. "It's all tested and ready, any damage yu do to anyone else in here won't kill them, because if you get to the point where you're about to die, you will be teleported back outside, and fully healed. READY TO KICK EACH OTHER'S ASSES???" There was a rallying cheer behind me as we all rushed through the front door and got teleported to different floors of the building. There was a loud countdown around the tower, telling everyone that the battle would begin in 30 seconds. I could see the flashes of light as all of my friends got combat ready. This is where we differed from human. On the outside, we looked normal enough, but this is who we truly were. Our hoodies contained our true forms outside of the Twilight Forest unless we let them out. In order of appearance, here are our true selves.

RandomThis is a story counterpart to RemoteControlGirl's(my step sister) story, by the same title. We each have our own way of viewing our friends, so I decided to write my story as well. Enjoy!
