Jung Wooyoung stands up from the chair he had buried himself onto. His legs carried him, without saying a single word, towards the blonde male that had flooded himself away from the same table. He had no idea what he was doing. The last thing he would do though was to not be there for his best friend after all. And although this best friend thing turned out more complicated, at the end of the day, he was still going to be there for Choi San and that no matter what.
As he reaches the blonde boy's steps he clears his throat catching Choi San's attention. San's face froze for a second before he catches a glimpse of the shorter boy next to him. He decided to remain quiet yet the burning tint of red on his cheeks didn't. Revealing his last night's thoughts and flashbacks which didn't remain for long before he came back to reality.
"Talk to me."
Is what the purple-haired make whispers when they step out of the schools exit, next to the wall. And that right there, that shit right there is what San mostly loved about Wooyoung. It's what made Jung Wooyoung so much special than others. It's like he had all the answers, he just needed him to talk. No annoying pity "are you okay?" or "what's wrong " and Choi San loved that. He did.
"I can't."
This was the first time he had ever answered the younger this subtle and this dry. It's like he was basically a stranger. Almost a stranger. Maybe if he reminded himself back at the beginning when he met Wooyoung, he most definitely had answered him a few times but never with "I can't." It was his first time ever and yet it already caused a lot of worries.
"Oh"
Jung Wooyoung paused, his walking coming to an end as Choi San continued to walk but then stopped a little bit further away. The purple boy was shocked. He was out of words. Tight-lipped. He had never perceived his friend this way and after all years now for it to happen, damn did that hurt.
"I'm sorry if it's about me. I didn't mean-"
Being the purest heart like he is, Wooyoung decides to apologize but that seemed to be very wrong from his opponent's point of view.
"No apologizing. And not everything is about you."
The statement that left Choi San's mouth makes Jung Wooyoung's heart bleed. And maybe if he said it softly, it would be understandable but the way his tone had changed, and the hatred mixed within his words that slipped his tongue; it was sharp like a knife that hit straight on Jung Wooyoung's cheat.
"I know-"
As Wooyoung takes steps forward to touch Choi San's shoulder and try to comfort him still even after all the pain San takes a step back his back almost hitting the wall. He looks deep into the younger's eyes making Wooyoung shiver. Was he going to say the same painful things to him again? Hopefully not. Cause this time the purple boy wasn't going to make it. He was very sure he wasn't. All that confusion, his body feeling weak, Choi San saying things that he never thought he would, it was all making no sense and it all just pained him.
"Why me, Wooyoung? You could have anyone you want so why me?"
Jung Wooyoung's lips parted. He couldn't believe his own ears what he heard. He suddenly felt planted on the spot, his eyes watering directly as he started to tremble. Panic attack. Another thing to make him feel even more terrible than he already did. How would Choi San know? Did he accidentally spill it out last night? But what happened last night really? Was he even there? All the questions were surrounding his head.
No answer. The hidden answers to it made him frustrated. He hated it with a passion. Wooyoung's mind was a predicament twist as he looked into the orbs of the blonde boy. He felt like crying every minute and second but just then, like a lightning bolt a flashback appears in front of his brown eyes.
"You are strong you're amazing you're my woo!"
The old male kneels down to his son giving him a smile after ending the game they had just played together. The purple little boy only giggles feeling loved and adored as his own father patted his head.
"Daddy?"
He then calls his innocent eyes looking deep into his own dad. Who had the same eye color, same shape, even same hair color.
"Yes my angel"
The male answers making him smile. Waiting for his kid to continue he puts him up on his lap before giving him a kiss on his nose.
"Is it okay to like boys?"
Wooyoung's Dad raises an eyebrow. He chuckles right after. Wooyoung was far young to know on that topic but soon he did after he met his teachers at the kindergarten. It was confusing and very new to him to see a couple like that. He wanted to know about it and to him, his dad knew everything so he asked like he always did.
"Honey, of course it is! Why? Did someone catch my boy's eye?"
Wooyoung laughs as his dad start to tickle him. He stands up throwing him in the air once just so his son feels like he's flying, before catching him. That's when the little boy yells a "No I just heard from the teacher" falling with his dad back on the bed they shared with no one but his mom.
"Oh that's interesting. Well well, my boy you can like anyone you want! Whether a girl, or a boy or a unicorn..."
The little purple boy laughs at his dad before nodding as they were facing each other. His dad looks deep into his eyes one more time before whispering.
"Whoever you like it doesn't matter, what matters is you never give up on them no matter what. "
Coming back to his senses Wooyoung can't help but chuckle. He missed his dad. More than anything. He was the only one who taught him well, taught him what love is. Cancer. Wooyoung's eyes turn dark. He didn't wanna think about it at all. Instead, he repeats the words his own father had said to him in his head as he takes a step towards his bestfriend.
San on the other hand is confused with his friends silence. Maybe because he was too loud. And just then his mind spoke. I should've kept it quiet I was good until now. He didn't even notice how Jung Wooyoung got so much near his face as he fixated his glare up from the ground.
And just before Choi San can react Jung Wooyoung grabs him by the waist pressing him against the wall. And my God did that turn him on. But that was something he wanted to control. He didn't want to show weakness whenever San was treating him poorly he was going to show strength. That for sure.
Just like last time. He noticed. And it worked it so worked. He was getting where he wanted he was getting into Choi San's mind and that's what he wanted and more.I am never going to give up on you Choi San.
Is what he thought but his words that he next spoke seemed to appear otherwise. His stern eyes looking deep onto his friend's ones which still remained cold.
Jung Wooyoung's gaze was fire, and Choi San's was ice.
And we all knew who'd lose in this case.
Jung Wooyoung leans over his lips touching the blonde's ear sending shivers down his spine. This time it was him who made Choi San feel like they were strangers. Stranger that he probably just met and was in trouble with.
There was so much tension between these two.
And just then Jung Wooyoung whispers in his raw voice to the blonde's earlier statement.
"There are answers you have to give me first if you want yours, Hyung."
