He was her prince charming,
But she was not his Cinderella.
He gave her rain on this drought,
But didn't lend her an umbrella.
He was her Romeo,
But she was not his Juliet.
He showed her the path to walk,
But left her alone after sunset.
He was her Aladdin,
But she was not his Jasmine.
He got her out of the darkness within,
But her love was as unacceptable as her sins.
He was her King,
But she was not his queen.
He promised her the tomorrows of stars and sky,
But her heart had already become as cold as a marble sheen.
