Chapter 1 - Fork in the Road

Rev woke up one morning except this morning would mark 1 year without his dog. 1 year he saw that horrible sight. The dog park was now abandoned after the incident other owners scared that the same fate might befall their dogs as well, but it was a rational fear and he couldn't quite blame them for having it. He walked passed the dog park but somehow it seemed to be calling him whispering his name asking him to go into the woods he was at the fork in the road one side leading to the forest the other in to town. He took the path into town before whatever was calling him convinced him to to stay. It was 5:40 p.m. and he was on the same path, and heard those same voices. This time he fallowed. Louder. Louder. Louder, the voices got as he approached a note that read "The devil's always lurking in the shadows no one is safe keep all your lights on for in the dark his wrath awaits. Signed - Reed Seigils." Rev dropped it and ran the sun was setting and he was convinced that note was there to warn him. He quickly got home and looked online "Who is Reed Seigils?" Reed was a missing boy who had disappeared in the summer of  1984 in those woods he was found dead split in half one side on the road to the forest the other on the way to town. The same day his dog was found. This was all to much and he quickly brushed it off as a quinceidence and went to bed. Next day was the same except he didn't see many people out, it was foggy, and more pets started going missing without a trace.
