You were snapped from your trance "Y/N! Are you alright? That demons blow seems to have put your mind in a haze!" you recognized that voice. Flame Hashira, kyojuro Rengoku. The booming laugh all to familiar as he noticed your confused expression.

Sitting up all you could remember was fending off a demon and then suddenly everything went blank, "Am i dead?", "Certainly not! You are alive thankfully however i do recommend that you retreat from the mission as i will take it from here!", those fiery eyes looking into yours filled with passion, but a hint of gentleness and worry sat in them to. I can do it.. It was just one blow! Is what you wanted to say however, before you could even open your mouth to respond he was gone without a trace or word.

Struggling to stand up you used the wall for some purchase limping to a safe place, just how bad had that demon hurt you? you could barley stand on the one leg, it hurt to inhale and exhale it feels like there's a weight on your lungs. You tell your self that you're fine and make it to a safe spot in an alley, where you collapse to the ground.

Your heads beating, throbbing and pounding as if its just been hit with a baseball bat. Ughh.. Your vision blurred and that was it before you blacked out.

It had certainly been quite a few months since the mission, you were still recovering surely but getting much better. To your dismay you were informed you were to lay off of missions and rest, which resulted in boredom n staring at the ceiling aside from trusted colleagues and the occasional checkups from shinobu and your number one supporter, Rengoku. He'd pretty much helped shinobu raise you since you were a young Boy, from helping teach you self defense to helping you heal trauma to training you as his Tsuguko, and making you into a fine swordsman.

You greatly appreciated him really because had he not been there the day your family was slaughtered, you wouldn't be here. You found that he'd also grown on you as a comfort figure so you often relied on him as comfort, in which he embraced with open arms. Rengoku saved your life many times, you want to thank him for it but then again is it to soon?.

Hearing the shoji door slide open snapped you from your thoughts, Looking over to see none other than Rengoku himself. "y/n, my boy! How have you been? Shinobu has informed me that the wounds on your back have completely healed!" Booming voice loud as always, for some reason always comforting to hear. "Hm? Oh I've been good-- Im almost good enough that i shouldn't need the medicines soon" You were still very weak, turns out the demon did more than just knock you out. The demon had left you with a mild concussion,a few broken ribs, a ruptured kidney, and wounds all up and down your back from when you went Tumbling from the blow the demon had managed to land on you.

Kneeling by you Rengoku places a rose on the Futon "Red, your favorites." he smiled brightly, "A mere gift for your recovery as im highly proud of you young man!". You take his kindness to the heart, picking up the rose and smelling it, fresh, must be fairly new, you thought. You let out a satisfied sight at the smell, in which Rengoku beams and laughs, "Shinobu has requested that you recover the rest of the way at my estate as she will be gone for a month or few on a mission, i am afraid to inform you that you have no choice in It either. Shinobu values you and has decided that I will get the liberty of keeping you safe. I expect you to be ready half a quarter till 10!" he stands up, bowing and then leaving the room.

no choice? That unusual, usually shinobu would give you a choice, why so all of a sudden do you not have the choice?

It is merely An accidental lose, but also a win if you count how much he cares and you care, but why deny it? It cant be denying if you don't deny it though, so what could this be?

You don't understanding, however you are willing to do whatever helps your brain understand these feelings, and whatever it takes to recover so you can return back to your slayer duties, its the only way you survive, really.

Thought's swim in your head, completely forgetting his words as your slowly dragged back into your thoughts and mind.

Not even half way through the walk there and your exhausted, huffing the only words your hearing are of encouragement, 'you're doing great' 'you can do this!' 'keep going we're almost there!' 'only a few mor miles to go!

It was getting annoying however you couldn't blame the blond, he was only trying to encourage you to keep going and push yourself to your limits, that is the only way you will over come those limits.

You reached an estate in which a younger boy who looked to be around the age of 12 with the same hair as Rengoku's greets his brother, "Brother! Welcome back!" brother? So this is his brother?, you cant help but wonder why he never told you he had a younger brother, he was never the type to be secretive but then again it was really none of your buisess.

"Senjuro! It is good to see you are doing well! How is father?" silence, a tense silence. "He's..Not in a good mood today, he just left to get more sake" senjuro's smile slowly fading into a frown made your heart sadden. Their father was an alcoholic? What a terrible father.

You were sure your stay here wouldn't be long since you were almost fully healed. suddenly your head started throbbing and you rubbed at the spot whining slightly, much to your dismay your lifted up bridal style n carried away to a room. You sighed as you felt your back hit the futon under you, "You just rest, i will take care of the rest!", you were already lulling into a deep sleep, and before you knew it you were asleep.
