"Do you wish to go outside?" He asked.

My eyes widened in surprise. Is he for real? No he's not a type of man who gives something for free.

"Stop beating around the bush and get to the point." I responded with a glare.

"You've already completed the White room's curriculum. So there's nothing white room can teach you anymore. So you're finally being let out....."

"I see." I waited him to continue.

"...You'll be attending a high school after you're 16."

"So even if I'm being let outside, I'll be still controlled by you huh."

"In a way yes. But you'll also get to enjoy your desired freedom."

"How's being controlled freedom?"

"The school you'll attend to is not a normal high school. You'll have plenty of freedom. I'll let you know the details in the future."

"Sure. Whatever, I didn't have any options in the first place anyway."

"We're leaving after a week. You can go back to your room."

"Yes." I turned around and made my way to the door. But before that....Only once....Just this once...."Thank you, Father." I left the room before he could reply.

Sigh.

Finally. The one desire that kept me going in white room. To see the outside world with my very own eyes. I couldn't be any more happier than this.

I can feel the corner of my lips curling a little.

A week later.

"Get in Kiyotaka." The man said from inside a long luxurious car. Apparently its a limousine.

I just nodded and hopped inside the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked him as the car started to move.

"My mansion. I will be busy so a butler will guide and take care of you. He knows about you being the masterpiece."

"Okay. Am I allowed go out or your mansion is just another cage for me?"

"You will be. Like I said, the only thing you lack is ability to converse." He continued, "We could have taught you in whiteroom but learning it naturally will be more effective."

"I see."

The atmosphere became silent. Nobody of us tried to initiate a new topic conversation. I watched as we passed by trees. I discovered many new things that piqued my curiosity.

It's not like that I'm completely unaware about how the world outside of white room looks like. I've seen them in books and articles.

But still, having a first hand experience is different kind of feeling. A few minutes after we got stuck in traffic. Time passed but the cars did not move. Finally running out patience, Father took out his phone from his left pocket and fiddled with his phone and called somebody,

"Hello is this Futaro, the head of Traffic Management Department?" So he has connections. He didn't even use honorifics for such a big government figure, did he?

<yes its me. Who are you supposed to be?> Said the man from the phone.

"I'm Ayanokouji Katou."

<A-A-Ayanokouji Katou? yes sir what seems to be the problem?> Did I hear that man just stutter. Looks like my father has quite big influence.

"I'm stuck in traffic since 15 minutes." He said with irritation in his tone and then ordered, "You have 10 minutes to clear it."

<Y-Yes sir, right away. Could you provide me your location?>
