Charlie has this little sister Lola. She is small and very funny.
Today is a big day for Charlie! He is finally tall enough to go on the big rides on the amusement park!
Charlie: I'm finally tall enough to go on the big rides at the amusement park!
Lola: Me too!
Lola wants to go on the big rides too.
Charlie: That doesn't count. You're on tippity-toes.
But she is not tall enough.
Lola: Mum, I can go on the big rides this year, can't I?
Mum: We'll see, but they'll be plenty of things for everyone to do.
Lola: Hooray!
When they got to the amusement park...
Charlie: Oh! (gasps) The ticket man! Yeah! I made it!
Lola: I made it too.
Ticket Man: Sorry, toes don't count.
Lola: (sighs) I'm not tall enough.
Mum: Oh, that's OK, Lola, I'll take you on the little roller coaster.
Charlie: That reminds me. There are things that are better about being the older brother, and things that are better about being the younger sister. Like the older brother gets to stay up later and be taller, and the younger sister gets to... To.. There's gotta be something that's better about being the younger sister. I'll keep thinking about it.
Later...
Charlie: This is gonna be awesome!
Dad: I've got a bad feeling about this.
Charlie: This is going to be so exciting!
Dad: (gulps)
Charlie: WOAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Charlie loves the roller coaster.
Dad and others: (screaming)
After the ride...
Charlie: That was fun! Let's do it again!
Dad: I was just thinking when we were on the ride, that when you're grown-ups, Lola will probably be much bigger than you.
Charlie: Bigger than me?!
Charlie isn't too happy about the sound of that!
Dad: Yes, probably.
Charlie: A lot bigger?
Dad: Mmm-hmm, very likely.
Charlie imagines how he could see big Lola. He had an idea: he could use school glue to stick Lola's foot!
Lola (grunts) Hey!
Charlie: Rule of life #475: School glue has many uses.
Imagination sequence ends...
At lunchtime, Lola would like a glass of milk.
Dad: Okay, what does anyone want to drink?
Lola: May I have some milk, please?
Dad: Excellent choice, Lola. Milk will make you big and tall.
Charlie: Tall? Hey, Lola. Water is much more refreshing than milk.
