9. Sports Fest pt .2

Alex pov

After winning the first battle I rested a bit before my next fight against that Poison Ivy chick. From what I could tell she either fought smart or with common sense unlike Kaminari but I could probably immobilize her like I did Iida but it would probably be easier to get her out of bounds

"Hmm, Shouldn't be too hard I guess" I accidentally say out loud

"what won't" a seemingly curious Deku asked "oh, you know beating the vine girl" he chuckles at my response "she has a name you know"

I just look forward unamused "yeah but I don't care enough to learn it"

He lets out an audible sigh before speaking again "that's not a good mentality to have Alex"

"So she's just an opponent she's not in our class so is she really relevant to my life" I ask almost annoyed at his statement

"Ok then I'm not going to argue with you on this but good luck with your match" he says as he gets up to go to the arena to meet his opponent Todoroki.

I mumbled "good luck to you too ig" because I honestly felt kinda guilty but had a pride to protect

I could tell he heard me because  he stopped for a split second before exiting the room

I walk out and head to the makeshift infirmary to visit Kirishima as I'm about to walk in I hear Kirishima's  voice and decided to wait until he finished talking

But I couldn't help to over hear his conversation with his opponent
(Kirishima, tetsu tetsu)

Definitely almost got me there man

But then You almost turned it around on me

I just can't believe that you were able to counter everything I threw at you. You are like the Manliest there out there

You give me too much credit. Im glad I could befriend such a mans man

The two laugh and I just decided to go in because I wanted to at least see the current match end and I was board just waiting there

As I walk in their heads immediately turn towards me and the room goes quiet.

Felling awkward I just grab a granola bar from my pocket and toss it to Kirishima

"Eat you'll need energy idiot" as I say that I put my hands in my pockets and look away from the two

"Thanks Alex I'll be sure to eat up" he said it with a smile warm enough to melt an ice cap

"Yeah sure don't mention it or whatever" I looked away to hid what felt like me blushing

"No but really thanks I didn't think you cared" he said like it was no big deal. His words stung I care a lot actually. Why would he say that even as a joke. My emotions got too strong and I started to tear up. So I turned around.

"I know I'm an asshole but who do you take me as" I say before I start walking out of the room

"I thought you were actually starting to like me but I guess I was wrong" I couldn't see what was in front of my face my eyes were so full of tears so I left as fast as I could

Why would he be so nice if he thinks I didn't care

Kirishima POV

She was upset at me because I didn't think she cared. She was crying because of me because of something I said how could I be so stupid.

"Alex wait" I called for the girl as she ran out the door

"Tetsu I must be a real idiot man I really fucked up didnt I" I say to my friend who saw the whole thing go down

"Yeah you did but you can still fix it hopefully" I don't know if he was trying to cheer me up or something

"Hey what's that on the floor" Tetsu Tetsu pointed to something on the floor it was shiny and when I got closer I saw it was a locket with the name Castro on the back

"I think it's Alex's necklace but I can't tell do you know her last name" I ask as if I don't already know the answer

"Sorry dude cant help ya there ask someone in your class or something" the silver boy says as he gets up and walks towards me

All I can do is look down in disappointment how could I do such a thing, I sigh "well I think we should get ready for our rematch" i walk out the door in hope to see her standing outside so I can apologize.

Alex POV

I leave the women's bathroom and walk to the area where my match with the poison ivy girl would take place. I walk into the giant block and wave to the crowd as I step on. The announcer present Mike introduces us and called the start of the match.

I get ready but I can't seem to focus everything is like a blur I felt so weak and defenseless. But the show must go on.

The next minute I'm in the infirmary. I guess she nocked me out which is weird I know I could have taken her on any day.

I reach up to my necklace to fidget to help calm my nerves. But it isn't there.
Maybe im just delusional where tf is it. I get up and look all over the floor. "No no no no" I mumble to myself it's the last thing I have of mom how did I lose it.

I ran out of the infirmary and down to the arena and see one of the attendants there

"Excuse me did you guys happen to find a necklace on the field after my match" they looked down at me and sook their heads

Fuck

Kirishima was on the field for his rematch, fuck him. He isn't my main focus I can be upset when I get my necklace back.

I went around the whole arena looking for it asking people if they saw. Nope not a single person. The rest of the day thats all I did I didn't bother watching the matches I just cried in the bathrooms.

"How did I let this happen. how could I be so stupid?" Insult after insult until there were no more tears left yo cry

"Hey Alex are you in here?? Kirishima is looking for you" a voice called out sounded like Ochaco. I didn't want to talk you him so I stayed quiet

"We haven't seen you in a while people are starting to worry" she almost sounded worried herself

"Tell everyone I got sick and went home" I finally reply

"Oh okay, if you say so" I heard the door close and her soft steps started to fade

I got up and left the stall to wash my face. I really am going home

AN: I AM SO SORRY FOR NEVER UPDATING HIGH SCOOL IS HARD!! Extracurriculars are kicking my ass right now 😭😭 it took me this long to write a singe chapter 😭😭 but I am trying to become more active again I promise
