"Rindou Haitani?"

He smirked in return, "Hmm? You called for me?"

Now you finally recognized them. Back then, you used to be involved in gang fights. But you were more of a tool. The Moebius, Valhalla where you first met the infamous Haitani brothers. Kokonoi Hajime when he was still in Black Dragon. Toman, Mikey's gang. And Tenjiku where you reunite with almost half of your enemies.

"Rindou, you know her?" Kakucho asked.

"Who wouldn't? A sly fox, manipulator, traitor, what else? You have everything you need with the one and only Y/n L/n." It did not sound insulting to you, it was more like a compliment if you heard that years ago.

A sly fox, manipulator, and traitor? Yes, you did those things back then. No, you don't fight with your fist. Instead, you fight with your brain like Kisaki Tetta who made you like that in the first place. You could easily manipulate others. You betrayed the people who used and just dumped you in the end without gratitude.

"A material girl indeed." Ran smirked.

They looked at you, the others were surprised. "Why didn't you two tell us earlier?" You just noticed that a guy was smoking in the corner.

"Come on, Takeomi. Where's the fun?"

"Oldies" Sanzu scoffed.

"Can you guys leave us two alone for now? I have to tell her something." Ran said as he made eye contact with his younger brother Rindou, then they started leaving the area one by one.

You stared at Ran, they all look different now, you totally forgot their faces. 12 years ago was history. "Ran..."

"Welcome back." you smiled at his softness. Criminals? I think not. He never changed- I mean, his looks did, except for that.

"So you're finally a doctor."

"Got no choice," you answered with a sigh.

"I'm surprised you came here all by yourself. Looks like we don't need to blackmail you just to agree."

"Wait, how did you know that I'm now a doctor? I never told you, nor Rindou. And does that mean you guys are the organization my dad was talking about? You need a doctor?"

"Slow down," he chuckled. "It was all Rindou's plan. But he won't tell you the truth if you ask him so I'll just say it. You disappeared like a ghost 12 years ago after the incident and that shit made Rindou go crazy, you know? And 3 years ago, we figured your dad's company is still here in Japan while you were overseas. Rindou went to your father and made a deal with him. Once you become a doctor, he will hand you to us, or else your father's company will disappear just like you did. Well, we also need a doctor 'cause who wants to go to a hospital as a criminal?"

Your lips parted, you were too stunned to speak.

"Rindou's probably at the rooftop. He missed you, you know he's cold at times." you both chuckled before you made your way to the rooftop.

You wondered, was he mad at you? For leaving without any trace? You both were not in a relationship, but more like friends with benefits back then. Yes. But if you were to confess, you admit that you took a liking of him.
