Chapter 5

Diana: And the bees are talking to us!

Maddie: Um, we just want to say we're grateful, and we're going to leave now.

Rae: Wait, wait, wait, wait! How did you 4 learn to do that?

Barry: What?

Diana: That- that- that- that... The talking thing.

Y/N: Oh, same way you 2 did, we guess. "Mama, Dada, honey." You pick it up.

Rae: (laughs unconvincingly) That's very funny.

Loki: Yeah. Bees are funny. If we didn't laugh, we'd cry with what we have to deal with. Anyway...

Diana: Can we uh... get you 4 something?

Maddie: Like what?

Rae: We don't know. We mean.. we don't know. Coffee?

Barry: Well, uh, we don't want to put you 2 out, unless you're making it anyway.

Diana: Oh, it's no trouble. Oh, it takes two minutes.

Barry: Really?

Rae: It's just coffee.

Y/N: We hate to impose.

Diana: Don't be ridiculous!

Loki: Actually, we would love a cup.

Rae: Hey, you 4 want a little rum cake?

Maddie: We really shouldn't.

Diana: Have a little rum cake.

Barry: No, no, no, we can't.

Rae: Oh, come on!

Y/N: You 2 know, we're trying to lose a couple micrograms here.

Diana: Where?

Loki: Well... these stripes don't help.

Rae: You 4 look great!

Maddie: We don't know if you 2 know anything about fashion. (Rae and Diana walk away and begin pouring coffee onto the floor, a coffee cup in their other hands)

Barry: Are you 2 all right?

Diana: No. (fade to Diana, Rae, Y/N, Loki, Maddie, and Barry on their roof terrace, talking and having coffee)

Y/N: He's making the tie in the cab as they're flying up Madison. So he finally gets there.

Rae: Uh huh.

Maddie: He runs up the steps into the church. The wedding is on...

Diana: Yeah?

Loki: ...and he says, "Watermelon? I thought you said Guatemalan."

Rae: Uh huh?

Barry: Why would I marry a watermelon? (Barry, Y/N, Loki, and Maddie laughs)

(Rae and Diana's more confused than amused. Barry, Y/N, Loki and Maddie gesture, indicating their joke is done.)

Diana: Oh, Is that a... a bee joke?

Y/N: Yeah, that's the kind of stuff that we do.

Rae: Yeah, different. So, anyway, what are you 4 gonna do, Barry, Y/N, Loki, and Maddie?

Berry: About work? We don't know. We want to do our parts for the hive, but we, we can't do it the way they want.

Maddie: Loki and I are Pollen Jocks, we thought that bringing Berry and Y/N with us will help them decide what they want to be and to give them a breath of fresh air.
