Don't Get Me Wrong

I had been working at DynaTox Industries for about two years now. I worked in the mail department for my first two years there, and eventually moved up to be the assistant to one Terrence ''Terry'' Silver during my third year there. Working with this man had truly saved my life, and that's what is making me work harder each day. Today, I was wearing my white dress with a blue cardigan, brown belt, and my nude-colored heels to work.

''Good morning, Mr. Silver. I have your morning coffee and you have a meeting with the representatives from the EPA at 10am.'' I had said walking into Terry's office.

''Good morning, Miss Kreese. Alright, I'll need the report from Mr. Jones on the 3rd floor and also, could you possibly join me for lunch today?'' Terry asked me as I took notes and looked up at him

''Of course, Mr. Silver. I'd be happy to join you for lunch. Anything else from me, sir?'' I asked before trying to make my way out the door

''There is a charity benefit coming up next week. Would you like to join me as my plus one?'' Terry asked

''I'd be honored, Mr. Silver. What time should I be ready for, sir?'' I asked with a nervous tone in my voice

''Be ready for around 6:30pm. I will pick you up, Miss Kreese. And call me Terry, please.'' Terry had spoke

''Yes, Mr--Terry. I shall see you later.'' I had said before rushing home quickly to ready myself for the charity benefit.

Here I am, freaking out about going somewhere with my boss who I find myself falling for every day I work with.

(A Few Hours Later.....)

I was getting ready for the benefit at my house. Humming Swan Lake was helping me get rid of the jitters before Terry was to arrive and pick me up. Getting dressed in one of my favorite dresses, I felt like a princess who was going for her Prince Charming. My hair was up in a hairstyle that made me feel pretty.

Finishing up, I heard a knock at my door. Going over to the door, I looked out the peep hole and saw Terry standing there, looking handsome as ever.

''Oh wow, you look beautiful, Miss Kreese. Shall I escort you to the car?'' Terry asked me as I nodded before I locked up my small house and walked down the sidewalk.

''Please call me Gabriella or Gabby. Miss Kreese sounds so formal. Besides, I have a confession to make.'' I said before shaking and breaking down into tears in front of him.

''What is it? Gabriella, please don't cry. A pretty lady like you shouldn't cry.'' Terry told me before coming closer to comfort me and looking down at me.

''To be honest, I have fallen for you, Terry. Deeply and hopelessly in love with you. I know I shouldn't have, but I can't help but falling for you. I feel foolish and --'' I had said, rambling on before Terry bent down and kissed me like in a fairytale.

I felt like a Disney princess when my true love just kissed me right in front of my house after confessing my true feelings for him. I guess my favorite song by the Pretenders, Don't Get Me Wrong had meant something to me, seeing as now my feelings for Terry Silver had come to light.
