Chapter 5 So Long Suckers

It repeated like this for a while Vela and Air arguing Lia and I stopping them from killing each other. Going through the normal training Augustus trying to kill me. Me stopping him from killing me then me hurting him back. Then in about 6 months, the schedule changed to this

3 a.m Running/Breakfast

6 a.m shooting range

7 a.m fighting matches

11 am research/eating/fighting matches

5 p.m Full body exercise

7 p.m running/eating/sleeping

Then repeat

So we are doing fighting matches okay here we go.

5 months and 30 days later...

I was just dreaming peacefully until there was an earth-shattering BOOM! Get up the instructor ordered after putting another grenade into the box. Someone begged. "Nooooooooo. Go awayyyyyyyyy."

But got up anyway then Augustus started to walk up to me and told me "I'm going to go" Air started to say. No, don't dang it. I yelled at him.

I muttered under my breath "I really don't want to talk to Augustus right now" when Augustus got to me before he could speak I say, "I don't get into fights before nine am thank you bye" so I walked away he yelled,

your dea-Now now what did I say about not getting into fights so adios." Then I start running again but not before tripping him.

When I got to the mess hall I sat down and said "coward." Air yelled hey! Vela and Lia questioned, "what makes him a coward?"

I said. "He abandoned me to talk to Augustus alone,"

"That does make you a coward" Vela responded while Lia was nodding thoughtfully then Air asked, quickly changing the subject "did you check the matches yet?"

Lia said, "Me and Vela have but have you?" We said. "Nope!" you should check them Vela said snickering.

Air said "Do you want to check them now" I shrugged and replied, "sure why not?" Air yelled "race ya" while already running. I screamed at him "CHEATER then ran after him. somehow I still beat him to the chart and I read through the names.

Joanne vs Natalia (this should be an even match)

Kye vs Velma (oh I feel bad for this boy)

Erica vs Arron (the look of terror on Air's face. Peak comedy)

I read through the list but couldn't find my name I looked over to Air shook him from his terror and questioned: "did you see my name I couldn't find it?" Air still in his terror just pointed.

And then I screamed.

4 hours later...

The announcer announced Match 12! FIGHTING out of the RED CORNER we have HARIS 7 wins no loses he stands 6 feet 4 inches weighing in at 132 pounds. AND IN THE BLUE CORNER we have YUSUF 3 wins 4 loses standing 5 feet 10 inches weighing in at 143 pounds.

The match didn't even last 30 seconds. Yusuf charged at Haris leaning his head down to tackle him but when Yusuf got close Haris kneed him in the face and Yusuf was out cold.

The announcer then announced "By Knockout elimination the winner of this match is HARIS

and now for the next match."

"FIGHTING out of the RED CORNER we have LUKE 7 wins no losses. He stands 6 feet 6 inches weighing in at 122 pounds. AND IN THE BLUE CORNER we have Augustus 7 wins no losses. Standing 4 feet 11 inches weighing in at 82 pounds. (you may be thinking how does he have so many wins? Well he may not look like much but he has strategy and knowledge plus in this, you're able to do anything except kill.)

The announcer announced "I want the dirtiest match in existence. Protect your entire body. Remember there are no disqualifications in this match, So fight!"

we started just circling each other looking for weak spots and he finds one he kicked my kneecap effectively breaking it and I fell over then he kicked my face breaking my nose.

I inhaled sharply and muttered to myself "get up and get away from him repeatedly but it was no use" he started to raise his foot to end the fight, and probably my life. I raised my forearm to try to defend myself and when he started to slam his foot down, a greek shield shot out of the ground, and Augustus's foot.

Hit the shield everyone just looked stunned. so I said "uhh hi?" and then a very certain idiot whose name starts with Augu and ended with stus yelled, "Kill him."

I looked around meeting eyes with my friends pleading for help. Air and Vela had unreadable expressions but Lia clearly wanted to help but really couldn't with all the guards pointing their Springfields at me than someone I think his name was Nickolas ran at me grabbed Lia's shoulder then somehow grabbed my shoulder then he somehow grabbed mine and it all went black
