It was the year 2363.
"Grandpa, I'm tired of the old stories about animals and Gods. Can you tell me a new one?" thirteen-year-old Nathan asked. The fables kids learnt in this time were of animals of legend, Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Jaguars etc. The animals were so rare that everyone had a story about them. "So, what story do you want to hear, little one?" asked Edev. He was sturdy for his old age. "Tell me a story that has romance and adventure and something about the intergalactic war that happened about 75 years ago." Exclaimed an excited Nathan, "that kind of story, eh? Let me think," the grandfather thought for a while and started Narrating.
CHAPTER 1: THE ACCIDENT
2256
Earth had changed drastically; people now lived in massive towers, where they had their own atmospheres and their own habitat. They grew their own crops and traded through barter systems. Each tower was an ecosystem of its own. The rich had their personal towers, while the Poor lived in more enormous towers built by their government. They were not as lavish as the private ones owned by the rich, but they were good. The Global economy had boomed since humans started harvesting minerals from other planets.
The Hadron collider had been in use for more than 150 years; it was the prized possession of human beings. It was the largest machine globally since it was built to date. The Hadron collider was used to extract subatomic particles and had helped in scientific advancement. Humans managed to create the towers with their own ecosystems because of the research and discoveries made by the Hadron Collider. About 100 years ago, a wormhole appeared among the asteroid belts. It was perfect by design and stayed hidden. Even with human technological advancement, this was beyond human comprehension. For almost 25 years, Earth was attacked by these weird space-crafts that looked like saucers with horseshoe magnets around them.
