Y/n pov
After that long night of fighting I fell asleep quite easy however waking up wasn't so fun as I awoke to the sounds of fighting outside and summoned Excaliburn from last night and went outside thinking the Grimm returned. However it was just yang and her dad training. They looked over at me as I fell on the ground sitting down sighing.
Yang:"hey cutie good morning! Did we make you think the Grimm were back? Our bad" she chuckled
Tai:"not sure I like you blatantly flirting in front of me" he told yang
Yang:"it's fine dad"
Y/n:"so...mind if I join in" I stood up holding Excaliburn at my side
Tai:"I'll tag out. Yang he's all yours this round"
Yang:"one on one hero none of your buddies" she set the rules
Y/n:"I'm perfectly capable of beating you without them" I raised the point of my sword at her with a smirk
Yang:"that so? Then I won't hold back" she slammed her fists together and rushed me
She lead with a left jab right cross combination that I easily dodged. I picked up on the boxing training and figured a left hook was coming so I prepared for that and I was right so I did an upwards parry launching her fist upwards wasting no time I slashed downwards only for her to roll out of the way. It was my turn to attack now. I closed the distance between us and did a quick horizontal slash and from there I let loose a flurry of random slashes. Yang could barely keep up, dodge, or sometimes even defect my slashes. On my final slash I put as much power as I could behind it and unfortunately for yang she decided to block. My blade connected with her gauntlet breaking it badly in the process.
Y/n:"oh damn! Sorry yang" I apologized
I was met with a right hook with her undamaged gauntlet wobbling me slightly.
Yang:"I'll fix it later. For now I can make do with one" she told me before sending even more attacks my way
I kept pace with her blocking her attacks and parrying some when I found the perfect opportunity. In a split second I found a small opening in her defenses and took it. I parried an attack and stabbed at her left side and landed the hit. Yang grunted in pain as her aura took the hit and fell on one knee.
Y/n:"you need a breather I'm barley getting started" I ignited Excaliburn it's golden flames giving this blade it's name
Yang:"yeah not gonna fight you with only one gauntlet then. Dad! Your up" she shouted jumping away"
Tai jumped in and went bare handed against me so in fairness...nah I'm not gonna be fair. I made a bright flare with Excaliburn that blinded him leaving him wide open for a one hit k.o.
I slammed the pommel of Excaliburn into his gut winding him and knocking him down. As soon as he got to one knee he looked up to see my sword at his throat.
Tai:"uh...I surrender?" He looked nervously at the razor edge of my blade so close to his face
Y/n:"good idea" I recalled my sword back to it's card and returned the card to my library.
Yang:"well seeing my dad get his but whooped In seconds has got me hungry" she pat her stomach
Tai:"hey! I tried..." He slumped
Y/n:"it's all good tai we know you did" I pat his back with a smile and walked in with yang
As soon as I stepped in I could smell...cookies? This early? I looked to the kitchen and saw ruby and qrow cooking breakfast. Ruby was absolutely covered in flour and so was crow. I could tell they had some sort of flour fight while cooking so I left them to their devices and waited for breakfast. I sat on the couch and took a breather despite not even giving it my all.
