It was as if the entire world collapsed.
It was as if every beaming ray of happiness and joy was shot down and the devil danced on top of them with a snicker.
Zacky just sat there.
Alone.
At 3:30 in the morning right next to Y/N.
The doctors didn't know wether she would live or not.
The only miracle out of this was that somehow the baby still managed to survive and is still developing in her tummy.
Zacky sat and held her hand with bloodshot droopy eyes and ghostly skin.
Why was it always him?
Ever since high school.
Nothing could EVER go right for him.
Sure, you could call it selfishness.
Call it whatever you want.
Even though the band becoming a huge success was a wave of good for Zacky, he still envied Brian for taking the role as lead guitarist.
Zacky still felt like he was nothing compared to Brian.
Zacky remembered when Y/N was in her coma.
How scared he was.
How guilty he felt for seeing Gena while she was sleeping.
He was for sure not leaving Y/N's side now.
No way in hell.
There was a slight knock on the door.
Zacky stood up and turned around.
"Mr. Baker?" the nurse furrowed her eyebrows.
"Yeah, that's me." he rubbed his eyes and followed her out to the hallway.
"Well, I have some results," she said holding up a piece of paper, "there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that, like we predicted, we don't know if she will survive or not. She lost a lot of blood and fractured some bones and nervous cells in her body. It's a pure miracle that the baby is still living, Mr. Baket," she said as he teared up and nodded.
"The good news is, along with the baby being okay, that there is no brain or stomach injuries so if she is to live, she will be able to function normally and would be able to continue living everyday like she was before the accident." the nurse explained as Zacky hid his face.
He wanted to cry.
He didn't want to loose her.
He wouldn't be able to live without her.
But he had to be tough.
He had to..
"There is also a chance that because she is so close to the due date of the baby, we may have to preform a C section to remove the baby."
"What are your predictions on that happening?" he asked shuffling his feet.
"Our prediction is that we probably will have to. There's a 40-60% chance of that happening. But before we do that we need to treat the broken bones and fill her up with the blood she lost. Does that make sense, Mr. Baker?"
He nodded.
"Yes...thank you, Dr." he turned around and walked back in.
"Hey," she said as he slowly turned back around, "...I think she'll be alright..." she said with a nod before she walked off.
