3rd-person pov
The loud sound of an alarm clock set for 7 am woke Adora up in an instant. Opening her eyes rather quickly, the sun from her open window was revealed to her, something she did not want to see this early in the morning.
"OW" She groaned. 'Oh god, I wasn't expecting that' she thought as she got up from her bed and waltzed to the bathroom. Once she washed her face and did her morning routine, surely enough, her vision adjusted to the area around her; she was ready to start her day.
She wasted no time getting ready, putting on a white polo with a red sweater over it, folding the collar over it, white overalls, and white vans with prides colours on the bottom.
She figured she'd try to show her pride on the first day at her new high school: Brightmoon Academy.
According to what she heard from her adoptive mother; Madame Razz, it was a very prestigious school in the area that gave great opportunities from all over Etheria. Not to mention, they were lgbtqia+ friendly and had a GSA club, which Adora was really excited about.
Adora was adopted at the age of 6 out of the blue. Even though she loved Razz, she really missed the kids from her orphanage, specifically a cat-hybrid, wild-haired brunette. Of course, Adora wondered day after day how she was doing but knew that she would probably never see her again.
Once she was ready, she brushed her teeth quickly and made her way downstairs to find Razz making some eggs with bacon bits inside. "Hey Madam Razz! Mornin'"Adora greets. "Ahh, Adora dearie! You're just in time. Come come, sit!" Adora giggled at the elder woman's chipperness, and took a seat at the island in the middle of the kitchen as a plate of food was placed in front of her.
Once Adora finished eating, she washed her plate and returned upstairs to retrieve her bag and make sure she had everything she needed for her day. Once she finished, she went back downstairs, gave Razz a kiss on the cheek, and was out the door.
She took her time walking to school since she left a little earlier than usual to get her locker number, books, etc. She walked for about 20 minutes before she saw it. A giant gate with the famous name "Brightmoon Academy" was placed on it. Taking in a deep breath, she stops in front of the gate.
"Today's gonna be fun."
