A Nice Evening

Finally me and River had the weekend to ourselves where we were not busy with work. We finally had the chance to spend time together. River, thought it would be a nice to take me out on a picnic. "Hey babe I'm going to take you somewhere it's a surprise okay? Don't ask me what it is!" Said River he smiled at me with full of excitement. "Haha okay! You know I hate surprises. I get so impatient sometimes you know that haha! But I guess for today I'll just weighed it out for you." I said laughing then I walk up to River for him to kiss me. Rivers kisses were magical I can kiss him forever. His lips were very soft how gentle he would press his lips against mine. Later, River grabbed my hand after he pulled away from the kiss for a moment and said "Are you ready to go babe? We should go before it gets too late." Said River while he smiled at me and he went back in for a other kiss. "Yes I'm ready!" I said with so much excitement.

So, we got into the car and River was driving and I sat there and wonder what was the surprise. I was trying to not ask him. "River I'm trying so hard not be impatient!" "Marissa, I'm not telling you! Your just going have to wait." Said River laughing. "Ugh okay! Okay you win I'll just sit here and wait." I said being so impatient just want to know what the surprise is.

"Okay Marissa we are about to arrive to our destination so close your eyes!" Asked River and so I closed my eyes with a smile on my face. "Okay!!" I said. Finally, we got to our destination River asked me to open my eyes "Okay babe now you can open your eyes." Then I open my eyes and still was wondering what's the surprise. "wow it's beautiful here! We have not been to the lake in a while." I said and then River got out of the car he asked me to wait while he got everything ready. So, River got the food and the blankets out and he pick a nice spot for us to sit. He pick a perfect spot for me and him to enjoy the view. River walked towards me. "babe I have everything ready." He grabbed my hand with a sweet smile on his face. I follow him and he had me close my eyes again "I got you just trust me." Said River while he helped me walk until we got to our picnic. So, he put the blankets down and set up the food meanwhile I was waiting to open my eyes. Little did I know River had a promise ring and wasn't ready to show me yet. "Okay beautiful now you can open your eyes!" said River "oh my goodness I love it! It's beautiful love!" I said with a huge smile on my face. We both sat down and start to eat we were both so hungry. "You make the view even more beautiful." Said River while he smiled at me. "You would say that River! So cheesy." I said laughing. "No, Marissa I really mean it. Your just breath taking. " said River he moved in for a kiss. I had my hands run through his hair while he kissed me meanwhile he pulled me closer to him as the kiss got more passionate. River pulled away from the kiss and said "I have something for you. I hope you like it and would accept this gift. " said River. "Okay what is it River? You are full of surprises today!" I said to him while I giggled. Few seconds later he pulled a small box out from his jacket pocket. "Marissa I love you and this gift is special." River looked nervous yet excited. "River I love you too! You know I don't need gifts." I said with a smile. "I know but this is special beautiful just open it." said River. So, I open the little box and I saw a ring. "Love it's a ring." I said with a surprised look on my face. "It's a promise ring Marissa. I see a future with you. I love you." Said River while he looked into my eyes hoping I would accept his gift. I smiled at him and said "River I love you so much I see a future with you!" I said to him. Later, I put on the ring and it was pretty yet simple. River knew me so well. I hovered over him and said "it's beautiful thank you! I'll keep this ring with me always." I said to River and next thing I knew he kiss me while the sun was going down.
