The 3 were sent to the plaza in the starting city, where hundreds of other players stood around them. Looming above them was a hooded figure in red, their face covered in the shadow. Players were confused, wondering why they were sent here. Invisible walls blocked any way of escape, and after that, they were meet with a speech. "Attention players. Welcome to my world." Players murmured. Who the hell was this guy, they did know he was a GM, but they didn't know how he was exactly. They began to speculate it was Kayaba Akihiko, and Soko wondered why her dad would make such an announcement. "My name is Kayaba Akihiko, as of this moment, I am the sole person who can control this world." So they were correct, it was him. Maybe he was announcing some sort of amazing update, and all players on the first day would receive some sort of reward? Gift? A special weapon? Anything was possible. He continued, "I'm sure you've already noticed that the log out button is missing from the main menu. This is not a defect of the game, I repeat, this is not a defect." Players giggled a little, thinking that it was just a joke. "It is a feature of Sword Art Online. You cannot log out of SAO yourselves, no one on the outside can shut down or remove the NerveGear." Players stopped laughing after that. "Should this be attempted, the transmitter inside the NerveGear will emit a powerful microwave, destroying your brain, and thus ending your life. Unfortunately, several player's friends and families have ignored this warning, and have attempted to remove the NerveGear. As a result, 213 players are gone both from Aincrad and the real world." Players were now captivated, scared, the expression on their faces. "As you can see, News Organizations across the world are reporting all of this, including the deaths. Thus you can assume the danger of a NerveGear being removed is now minimal." News Panels moved by of the news, causing fear, but letting them know they wouldn't be killed. "I hope you relax and attempt to clear the game, but I want you to remember this clearly. There is no longer any method to revive someone within the game. If your HP drops to zero, your avatar will be forever lost, and simultaneously, the NerveGear will destroy your brain." Players now screamed in fear, not ready to die yet. "There is only one means of escape, to complete the game. You are presently on the lowest floor of Aincrad, Floor 1, if you make your way through the du heron and defeat the floor boss, then you may advance to the next level. Defeat the final boss on Floor 100 and you will clear the game." Soko had now been thinking, what the hell was her father thinking, he was always sad after her mother had left to go live in California, but she was dumbstruck at what was happening right now, in front of her eyes. "Finally, I have added a present from me to your item storage. Please see for yourselves." Then he disappeared, leaving the sunset sky to watch over all 90,887 players. (If I did the math wrong, correct me) She finally looked in her inventory, seeing a new item. A simple "Hand Mirror." Selecting it, she looked at herself upon it. It was a simple rectangular mirror, with a gray frame, but then her avatar flashed into light, leaving her dumbstruck again. Her avatar had changed to look like herself in real life. She was frightened, dropping the mirror, and stumbling backwards into what as now Velvette. She was now quite smaller, and her short hair had turned long and messy, but still purple. And next to Velvette, was Haiko. The now bulky barbarian was a teenage boy around 5'4, and his hair had been less spiky. Soko herself now had the same pale skin, but her hair was now chocolate brown with green highlights at the end, her size an inch smaller. In front of her, a girl with wavy dark brown hair caught a boy falling down, before he muttered something to her and dispersed into millions of blue particles. (Haruko-chan! >_<) She ran off after that, and Soko was determined to follow her. So she did, running after her, asking where she was going. "Hey! Wait up!" She gasped for breath when the girl finally stopped. "Where are you going?" "Why are you following me?" The boy in blue with black hair appeared running the other way, but his size was smaller. "Because I want to team up! I'm not going to solo this for god's fucking sake!" "No thanks! I'd rather be on my own!" She ran off, leaving Soko behind alone. Why was this happening to us was the thought ringing in her head.

HAI DERE! :D
YAY! HARUKO-CHANS FIRST APPEARANCE! But don't worry, she'll be with us for a majority of this first book in the trilogy.
Kristina is going to be appearing in the other book, "Sword Art Online: Dead King's Blade" since her book features her near the end of the Aincrad Arc in the timeline. Pweeze, may I remind Chu to create your character, TG (TheatreGirl) DJ_N3K0 and I will be picking winners on Sunday! Make sure they are not OP, please. Make. Sure. OP Characters are not okay with me. Especially when I'm hosting a roleplay.
