*Val pov*

i mean i wasnt lying when i said i was gonna go to the gas station. i was still siting in  history. i liked the subject but i get to leave in 20 minutes. i just pluged in my headphones and put on my music till we got to the 5 minute mark.

i took out my earbuds and started packing up. 

"ms.stone?" i asked in my nicest voice possible.

"yes ms.valorie?" she responded back.

"could i use the restroom?"

"yeah, don't worry about taking the hall pass. i'll see you tomorrow! bye valorie." she said as i was already walking out with my backpack.

"bye ms.stone!" i didn't actually go to the bathroom. i just waited in the lobby to leave. i was zoning out in class anyways.

*DING DING DING*

and that was my que to leave. i took my skateboard out and started walking out of the school. as i did i bumbed into someone. my phone fell out of my hands. so of course i went to pick it up but someone else already was. the person i bumbed into.

"oh my god. i'm so sorry, i wasn't looking at where i was going at all. i was heading out to get my skateboard. again my apologizes." a man who had a more deep voice said. he was tall. and his hair was kinda a strawberry blond mixed with brown. i knew who he was. the volleyball star of the school.

"no its okay. thanks number 2." i said as i took my phone out of his hands.

"uh i'm sorry, who are you?" he said. he was fairly pretty.

"val. and you?"

"uh- mark. he said while fixing his hair. he then looked me up and down. "you skate too?" he asked

"no i just carry it around to look cool- yeah i skate." i said and then held up my board. "but more importantly, you skate?"

"yeah? i've done it for like years." he says trying to prove himself.

"okay, okay. i'm gonna go to the gas station. you can come if you want." i say. i invited him beacuse he seemed like he would be fun. he seems nice enough.

"oh uh-" he said. should i not have said that? "yeah sure. uh let me just go grab my board from my locker." he said as he started walking away.

"okay i'll wait outside the doors." i said as i walked out of the school.
