Wotakoi: Hirotaka's Impatience

Just a normal night

It was a usual Friday night in January. Narumi had to work late, again, to make up for the time she lost looking at her feed all day. But it was SO worth it because she found out her favorite BL manga was getting another volume!! She grabbed her coat off her chair and packed her things to leave. 

I hope I can make it home without freezing to death, she sighed to herself.

As she walked into the hallway she found Hirotaka playing his switch on the hallway bench. She smiled down at him. Hirotaka looked up at her with a blank expression and pulled his earbud from his left ear. 

"Hmm... you finished," Hirotaka muttered. 

"Yea! Thanks for waiting, you didn't have to do that," beamed Narumi.

Hirotaka stared at her for a moment; Narumi wondered what he must be thinking. He's always spacey and she can never quite tell what he might say next. Hirotaka placed his switch in his bag and got up. Every now and then, Narumi noticed how tall Hirotaka was; but currently it's all she could notice. He was only about a foot away and she suddenly felt this pull from within her to take embrace in his strong arms and chest. She shook her head and quickly banished the thought. 

I mean that'd be weird right? she thought.

"Alright then, let's go to the arcade!!! All this hard work's got me stressed!" Narumi shouted.

By now they were exiting the building and entering the cold January air. Hirotaka had an extra coat over his suit and a plaid blue scarf around his neck. Narumi loved the way he looked in it, the way it just covered his lower chin as he walked, warm puffs of air coming from his lips.

...Lips...

Um.....

Narumi. Hello? Snapback to the real-world girl.

"I was thinking we'd go back to my place," Hirotaka said, glancing to the side at Narumi through his frosty glasses as they walked. 

Narumi looked back at him and felt that something was off. His energy was different today. He was walking with more... power? or what is it? She couldn't put her finger on it. "Sure. What should we do at your place?"

"Whatever you like," he said. His glance returned forward as he walked. With his hands in his pockets and long legs in stride, he didn't even seem cold. 

Narumi however realized how freezing she was. Her shoulders were starting to shake and she brought her hands to her mouth to blow warm air into her palms. She should have brought a scarf like Hirotaka, and gloves!!

Suddenly Hirotaka's scarf fell over her shoulders. It was so warm!! ^w^

Narumi turned to Hirotaka while wrapping the scarf around herself and beamed a smile at him.

"Thank youuuu! It sooo warmmm, I wwaa-s fre-e-zinggg!" she squealed. 

Hirotaka only looked back at her again with that blank expression. She loved it tho. That blank look was so cute on him as his nose and cheeks were slightly red from the cold and his breath still puffing out of his mouth with each step. 

She smiled as she pressed his scarf to her nose and face. She breathed in. His smell was so amazing to her. She loved that it was a light scent of his cologne and a hint of his cigarettes which gave it a sort of minty tone. Whatever it was, she loved that it was him.

They continued walking to Hirotaka's apartment.
