Chapter 9: The White Flower that the Bard Adores

Narrator's POV

  It is already midnight. Venti and Klee were still trying to help Y/n, whose clothing gets tighten around causing by the old lady's unknown command. Venti figured it out there was some sort of device that makes it tightened around her body along with her neck. "This old woman... is from Snezhnaya." He predicted. Albedo arrived , "I-is everyone alright?"

Klee tackle Albedo into hug and cried, "Big brother Albedooo!!" The alchemist gently pat Klee, "It's alright now. I'm here. Unfortunately, we cannot go home... until we end everything here." Klee sniffles as she pointed to you, who is troubling breathing, "Big brother Albedo, sis Y/n is in trouble! She's having troubling breathing!" 

Venti went to you. He put your head gently in his shoulder. He cannot hug you. If he does, he would know he will just going to hug you tightly because of how worried he is and will make things worse. "Hang on there, Y/n... I.. "

Albedo check the clothes you're using. He noticed that there was a collar in your neck beneath the clothing. He touched the collar, and it was tickling like a clock. Seems like there's a time limit too... "How strange.."

You were hoping that you can use your powers, but you don't have enough energy to use it. The suit... no, the device you were wearing drains all your energy. If your energy lost, there's a possibility you will...

"I was sure... I'm getting stronger... but why..." You thought it yourself. Your neck suddenly tighten because of the collar. You tried not to scream, you wanted to tell everyone that you're still strong. But you believe that your companions will going to help you!

Venti suddenly thought of himself, he feels like he needed to protect you more. He can not leave you like this. He keeps on thinking of a way... to save you or to defeat the wicked old lady.

He cannot forgive the old lady about what she did to you, "If I may ask, what do you want from her?"

The old lady replied, "I was wondering that this child seems harmless. But... herself sure is not. I would like to know her, and begin the ritual."

"For what?!" Paimon and Aether arrived, "Hey you creepy freaky old lad, you better stop that device or prepare yourself to rest in the coffin! We just got some coupons from the 77th Director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor~"

"That's..."

"Duh! We receive a quest from our friend" Paimon shrugs

"... At the time like this?!" Aether says

The old lady sigh and seems upset, "Kids this days... will never learn how to respect."

You tried to speak, "Yes we will.."

" P-pay respect to your grave.." You insulted her. The time you said that, the old lady use the remote to tightens the collar you had in your neck more. "N-ngh..!"

"My traveler!" Venti cried.

"D-dummy! You shouldn't have said that! There's no time for joking, your life is in someone's hand!" Aether unsheathed his dull blade, preparing for a fight.

"Traveler, let me."

"Venti...?"

"I will end this quickly. The Knights of Favonius will soon arrive." Venti summon his Skyward Harp...
