It sounded like violin music, and it was coming from the basement. Ellisa sat frozen on the couch in the Flannigan's house.
All I wanted to do was come and babysit. Ellisa thought to herself, rocking back and forth slightly.
She had been here for a little over 2 hours, watching the news on mute after the Flannigan's little brat, Kyle, had fallen asleep. And now she sat, scared senseless, after hearing the faint sound of music emanating from the unfinished basement. Ellisa knew it was her job to protect the house and everything in it while the Flannigans were gone, but she could NOT bring herself to the edge of those basement stairs.
After sitting for another 20 minutes, Ellisa finally decided to make the slow, tortuous journey to the ominous cellar. She moved like molasses, deliberatly pulling herself off of the suade couch without a sound. She moved stiffly out of the living room, making the bad decison to flick off the TV, killing the only source of light in the house. Ellisa crept down the hall to the door way where the eerie music was still emerging. Using every ounce of courage in her 15 year old body, she slowly turned the rusty brass know and creaked the heavey door open an inch. The music stopped. Ellisa's body relaxed for a split second, before she heard a blood curdling scream.
