Super (Part 3): Junior Year, The Fight For Their Lives

Chapter 1

It was the night before school started, in the Hawaiian islands, it was just any ordinary day. Until out of nowhere, the entire island mysteriously was completely destroyed with one single ability. This erupted the nation, assumptions were made of it being the Chinese, Russians, or something else. Thousands of people died by this mysterious force that destroyed an entire island at an instant.

"I can't believe it.. a entire island gone.. what kind of power is that? It couldn't be a nuclear bomb either.." I say to myself as I see the TV.

"Able! Able!" My mom called out for me from downstairs.

"What?" I asked.

"Your friends are here! Come down quickly!" She says to me. I then quickly jump down the stairs, landing perfectly on my feet. My mother was completely startled as I had just jumped a entire floor down.

"Bye!" I tell her and I run outside, and sure enough there waited my friends. Jack, Abril, Jem, and Earl.

"Yo! How's it been?" Jack said as we clapped our hands together and shook them. Everyone has grown so much, I could tell Jack was more mature now, unlike before where he was more clumsy. And Earl, well eh was with Saryn! I was proud of him. I looked at Earl, and just smiled as I was proud of him.

"Oh yeah- Earl. You said you wanted to talk to him in person right? About the, noise the last day of school as we left." Saryn reminded Earl.

"Oh yeah, right. I suppose I should tell this to everyone. But, I have a question for you Able." Earl asked me.

"What is it?" I say.

"That day. The last day of school. As we left the place, we heard a noice. You were... Talking. Then there was a loud boom from back there, we quickly went back to see what had happen but all we saw was- a hole in the roof. Mind explaining what happen?" He asked.

"Well.. I don't mean to frighten you all- but. I never wanted to tell anybody this, and I don't think anybody else should know now. But, it was him." Everyone was puzzled and ever so curious.

"Who exactly?" Abril asked.

I couldn't say it, I didn't want to. "Him... The Conductor. He was there. I promise you- he was there! He appeared out of nowhere. He has a hole in his stomach, the same area where Lawrence punched him. Same abilities too, the hole was patched by metal. I don't know how, but the Conductor managed to live his attack. If I hadn't known how to activate my powers right then and there! I would've- I would've died!"

"What happen then? Did he injure you?" Earl was concerned.

"No... I had to kill him. With a final blow using Abril's ability. I destroyed him, turned him to nothing. He's gone now.. at least now we know this- the past is behind us now. And it'll remain that way forever. All that matters now is the present." I tried to convince myself it was okay, but I couldn't unease myself from the moment he appeared. Seeing or imagining his face terrifies me.

"At least he's gone now... But did everyone else hear about the island? In Hawaii- it got destroyed at an instant with no warning at all!" Saryn said.

"What? How could that be?" Jack was in complete shock, from the news of the islands and of the Conductor coming back.

"Whatever happen, I'm sure we'll be fine, I just hope some people managed to escape to tell what actually happen. Who do you think it could've been?" Jem asked.

"I think it was the Chinese, they're getting more and more aggressive. But so are we, it always seems like a war can break out any second." Abril explained, and everyone agreed. The only person who didn't, was me. I don't know why, but the thought of an entire island being destroyed, I don't think it could've been a nuclear bomb. No- a nuclear bomb can't do that without a warning.
