Breakfast!" I woke up to my dad screaming.
I ran down stairs and my dad gave me a plate of bacon and eggs while saying "Autumn you should be dressed already!"
"I'm not going to school."I said.
"It's been a week since it happened, you should go." ,He replied.
( A week ago my mom left me and my dad for my dad's coworker, Mark.)
"I can't pretend like nothings wrong, do you even care that mom left?",I asked.
My dad commented, "Of coarse I care, but we need to get through this and were going to start with school."
"Fine." I grumbled and headed to my room.
"Let's see what I'm going to wear." I thought. After trying on every outfit in my closet, I decided on jean shorts with black nylons and a cute hot pink top. I ran downstairs, grabbed my bag and threw my curly brown hair into a bun.
As I was about to walk through the door, I saw my dad putting on his old work boots, that my mom got him the first Christmas they were together.
"Dad, why are you wearing those?" I questioned.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
" Don't you remember who got you those?" I questioned.
"Just because your mother got me these boots does not mean I'm just going to throw them out." He remarked.
"Okay" I said as I kissed him goodbye.
I got into my Ford Explorer and turned on my favorite country station.
(I know this chpt was short but I hope you enjoyed it! I will be updating soon!)
